Is it the Group winners who play the other Group runners-up in each of the Semi finals ?.
Winners of group one play the runners up in group two and vice versa .

Looking like an England v Pakistan final if form is anything to go by .

I said watch out for South Africa, but their win against us today was only consolation as it turned out.
We win the group and it looks like we've got New Zealand in the Semi, and by the way its Pakistan v Australia in the other Semi.

The 2 group winners and favourites for the trophy have both lost their Semis, it really was a case of England & Pakistan peaking too early. So that means both of the runners-up will meet in this weekends Final, Australia v New Zealand.

Im still not a fan to be honest of this short T20 format, but admittedly it does give us some exciting matches and finishes. We already have the One-day 50 over game format, so I don't see the need for this short 20 over blast. Why don't they merge the two and make it a shorter 35 or 40 over format ?.

Just goes to show the flaws with this format of the game of cricket .

Don't get me wrong I like twenty / 20 but there's no doubt Australia and New Zealand aren't the best two sides in the tournament despite the fact they will contest Sunday's final .

One poor single over bowled by Jordan cost England dearly when he went he went for 23 in the 17th over .

The two best sides in the world cup were England and Pakistan based on the super 12's .

In my opinion which sounds like sour grapes I'll admit they should do away with the semi finals and the winner of each group should meet in the final and the final should be best of 3 games .

The shorter the format then the more likely you are to see an unlikely winner and not necessarily the best team .

The final of the world series in baseball is the best of 7 games and the best of 3 or 5 in the play offs .

You wouldn't contest the final of snooker or darts world championship based on one frame or one leg or even the final of Wimbledon based on one set .

It's barmy in my opinion .
