We are approaching madness in this country - sending money to help people I understand completely but for us to do it when they obviously don’t care is wrong.

Finally I would just like us to sort our own problems / issues out before we start with GDP around the world - get your own house in order - homeless - un - employment - poverty etc etc
As usual army I agree with what you post, apart from this comment, 'We are approaching madness in this country'. It's gone way past that stage, this country IS a lunatic asylum and the lunatics are running it.

The really dispiriting thing is that there are people banging on the asylum office door, demanding that they be allowed in to run the asylum instead, and they are even more dangerous lunatics than the lunatics in the office running it now. I don't see a way out of this, we're fecked.

I just do not see how the Labour Party can oust the Tories with Starmer at the helm.

I am reading a bit of an imminent uproar is coming our way because a few Tory MPs are renting out their taxpayer funded second homes whilst claiming hotel expenses during their sojourns to Westminster.

I hope whoever leaked this story does not decide to rifle through the Labour ranks, because a lot from the other side of the House are also bang at it. FACT!

The only thing that could possibly make me gag more than footballers taking the knee is MP’s doing it.

They may not need to BT, Boris is doing the job for them.

The majority of the electorate in this country are so f*cking thick sinkov, they will still vote Tory, no matter what Johnson does to them.

If Tice puts up a candidate here BT, I'll consider voting for him/her, mainly because Wiki describes Reform UK as a 'populist' party, now I'm not sure what is meant by 'populist', but I do know that Lefties hate 'populism' whatever it's supposed be, so that's good enough for me. Otherwise I'll vote Tory, simply because all the alternatives are worse, and not just a bit worse, it's not marginal, they're much, much worse, catastrophically worse.

The Tories could field a yellow Labrador and pin a blue rosette on it and they'd win the Ribble Valley sinkov.

This is oh so true BT, if I do want to vote for Reform UK, I might as well stay at home and put my feet up, because they're not going to win whether I vote for them or not. If I decide to vote Tory, I might as well stay at home and put my feet up, because they're going to win whether I vote for them or not.

When the next election arrives sinkov I will be staying at home and putting my feet up, unless we have some sort of revised Socialist Democratic Party where Starmer is kept a million miles away from it.
