    Just to warn you, DVD-R's are made with dyes that fade over time, and the life of them might be 10-20 years. I don't know if that's from manufacture or when burned, so be careful - when digital media fails it tends to be unusable unlike analogue that just goes grainy.

    If you make the DVD, you're probably safest copying the files to a hard drive and keep them safe. Always keep multiple backups of anything important. Cloud storage such as onedrive or google drive is a good option.
