Trust gru to inject his brand of humour into a serious thread!

Ipswich is an example (another?) of why we don't something similar (injection of big bucks) at NYS, even though some on this board think it would take us to a higher heaven.

    Shaking head in disbelief.

My first reaction was much more vociferous in its choice language, but decided not to actually type that.

I'm at a loss what to make of gru anymore.

The 'Ipswich Job' has become a 'poison chalice'! Paul Cook is a very good manager but while clubs like them, Sunderland,Portsmouth and Wednesday believe their natural entitlement is to be in the Championship or above they will never exist in reality.Stockport gave us far more problems then Sunderland could muster.

Paul Cook to Doncaster? Knows Leagues 1 & 2 well if they go down.

That could be an interesting interview.

"We know you are really sh!t but to be honest we are even sh!tter so would you become our manager?"

Who knows, Wednesday could make a cheeky move for him.

I like Paul Cook and he's not done bad over the years but, I think he's blotted his copy book at Ipswich with some rash spending that hasn't worked out for him. Look at the wonders he did while at Chesterfield with no money.

...that's if he was solely responsible for who they signed......if so then they're right to sack him.
