C'est la vie
Hope you make a full recovery soon.

Cheers fella's but like I said, I dont feel badly at all, whether that's because of the vaccines I've had, or the strain I've got maybe not being as severe, as great fire suggested, I dont know.
It seems strange that so many teams now are having it in their camp, when last season it didn't seem to be as many, although probably due to the fact that no supporters were in the grounds last season to pass it on? UTM

Glad to hear you didn’t get a serious dose of the lurgi

But regarding the point you raised about footballers

According to the ONS, in the week beginning 15 November 2021, estimated vaccination rates remained high in England; 96.5% of adults had received at least one dose

Yet the EFL state that 25% of footballers have refused to have any jab at all.

So are the players at risk from the supporters or is it the other way around?

Yes, it's on the BBC Sports (Football) page now and the number of games off at the weekend seems to be going up as well.

Cheers Grist, but your point about 25% of footballers not having had any jab is a little bit irrelevant in the context of, such as myself for example, having all the jabs going was never going to either stop such as myself from contracting covid, or even stop, again such as myself, from passing it on.
I understand your meaning that those players who haven't had the jab or jab, would have a better chance of not being as poorly if they did get covid, but we were all told from the off what the vaccines could and couldn't do.
As for games being called off, I dont know what the criteria is to have a game or games called off, as Oxford recently just had the one game called off and pushed on and played thereafter even with a few squad members missing, but other teams have had 2 or 3 games postponed because of it. UTM

Many, many games are going to be called off because, although no players are likely to get particularly ill,the virus will have sufficient impact to prevent them performing at 100% and that situation will probably repeat itself for some considerable time.

    Certainly seems inconsistent

The other thing that concerns me is the “latest measures” that the EFL are requiring football clubs to follow at their premises and training grounds. I thought that they were the control measures that they were already following, or perhaps they never did treat it seriously

Glad, it's not affected you too much. Did you go through the (long winded) track and trace questions and figure out most likely place you caught it. I had covid a few months ago, and figured out the most likely place I caught it was at NYS.
