    Hes Gash.

Even Firpo might turn out to be better.

Steady on there Oz old boy 😎🙃

Think they both have a lot of potential but we don’t have time at the moment to allow that to develop.

Roberts further up the pitch is far better than Roberts in midfield and he gets rotated between the two. He is partly a victim of the small squad we have in that we need him to be consistently good. He does seem talented but that is not to say he is currently a quality premier league standard player.

Firpo I think could surprise us all - he has the physical ability and looks good going forward.

Not sure any player looks great defensively at the moment with our injuries and unsettled team selections week to week.

It's all very well having "potential" but at some point that has to be realised, otherwise Roberts will retire at 36 with the label of "always having had potential". He has had long enough now to make the step up and has shown no indication whatsoever that he is capable of performing (even averagely) at this level. He is probably, at best, a reasonable Championship player.

Don’t disagree - think by 25 or 26 he could be a good premier league squad player but we need someone to be a good premier league player now - not his fault we are in this dilemma though.

There is a lot to like about his game as well as the clear things that need to improve and he has show glimpses in recent weeks of pushing on in his development.

The problem is we need someone like a Pablo (the 32/33 year old vintage) in the roles he mostly played and he is never ever going to be that player.

He could be a good back up striker though.

I read someplace Phillips had said Firpo was having difficulty adapting and settling into the Prem. May take game time and right coaching, I think he has something to offer, just getting it out of him………
    Confidence and belief.
