I am still living in hope that the games that define our season are already past and our recovery starts tomorrow.

The position timorous is a replica of what happened last season. We win that and never looked back, hoping for more of the same.

FFS, tomorrow. It is Burns night tonight though which is probably why Google thought that's what I wanted to type, being in Jockland.

Just as an aside maybe, but the last time we scored first in the league was 7 games ago at Ross County at the end of November.
The oppo have scored first in the 6 subsequent league games & you know the score, 6 defeats without even a sh!tey draw.
THOU SHALT NOT CONCEDE THE FIRST GOAL.
Please, tomorrow night United, score the first goal!!

Or can think positive and see most games are winnable and we are not in any relegation battle currently, more in a top six battle as it stands, especially if we win tomorrow

Injuries have cleared up, as has the covid issue, these were clear mitigating factors why the poor run was extended... It won't last now we have everyone raring to go, there are wins coming save for maybe Celtic away but at same time no game is easy this year as its a stronger league throughout and a teams are striving to win for their own reasons

Don't gift teams a penalty or goal like St Johnstone and Livi home games (Fuchs involved both teams), neither game we deserved to lose, but first goal very important as we know, and we did this well earlier in season, did not gift teams a lead

I do agree with that, but partly in reply to weegiearab, i had the feeling at times on Saturday that Levitt was guilty of getting the ball and slowing things down. This may just be a confidence thing and hope he gets through that.

    You're always positive, fair enough.
I just try to be realistic whether that means being positive or negative. Being positive even when things get bad is all well and good but it mostly papers over the cracks.

If you look at my post again what could you disagree with. There will be repercussions if we lose tomorrow because we'd be getting dragged down the table, the pressure on Tam and the players will crank up as a result. It's not being negative it's just being realistic.

Surely you can't be referring to Blair Spittal as a pacey winger? 😜 The five man midfield, for me, takes care of anything they offer in the wide areas and helps us exploit their narrow 4231, which I assume they'll revert back to after the weekend.

The way we set up will tell us all about how Tam wants us to approach the game.
Charles Cook and Hungbo were the players I was meaning. They're very quick on the break. That was what influenced my team selection of 4 at the back and Butcher back in.

Before the Livi game at home I made a controversial suggestion to move Mulgrew out in front of our back 4 to provide extra protection. Livi attacked our back 4 at will in that match and won the game where our midfield was dire. We shouldn't be losing to Livingston at home especially without scoring.
