As an animal lover , not many animals apart from humans I worry about. On our local forum , the amount of cats gettin run over , then owners blaming car drivers . not contacting the owners. How ? have they got a chip reader in the car?
I don't let my dog , rabbit , and goat out.
Cos I'm a responsible pet owner.

If a car driver ran over a cat you may be surprised many responsible cat owners have collars on their cats many with contact details on a disc tag. No excuse for a car owner not to notify an owner.

Strange how some car drivers stop if they hit a dog but not a cat.

If you hit an animal with your vehicle it’s a legal requirement that you must stop ( so no hit and run) and report the accident to the police, animals include any dog, horse, cow, pig ( inc the SWFC variety), goat, sheep, donkey, or mule

You must do this as quickly as you can, whether the animal is killed or not.

    Cats are fair game

    How many cat owners do?
Can't think of many smells worse than cat crap when you've gone over it with a lawn mower.
