Sounds great Mick I know you’ve been after one for a while, not sure on the colour
But I loved Capris growing up

The black JPS mentioned above was so damn cool, I remember someone on our road or area nearby had one that was done like the star sky n hutch car, which aged 8ish was the most awesome thing I’d ever seen, maybe you can get it wrapped mate ?

About 300 yards before you turn right to then go down the hill into Chaddesley Corbett, we’re on the right hand side.

There’s only two houses together on that part of the road and we are the one with the large holly hedge and the “in and out” farm style wooden gates and gravel drive.

Just don’t want our house name on here V.

It was the colour that sold me on it mate.

I had one in Sebring Red in 1980 which I loved and I also always loved this Daytona Yellow.

These are iconic colours in this model and fetch the best prices.

I’ve always loved bright colours so for me this is perfect.

I’d never wrap it though as it would kill its value.

The car had huge interest, I only got it because I was first through the door.

I’ve asked this guy to source me a MK3 body shell, I’m going to get an electric one built in the next 2-3 years if I can.

I contacted Vintage Voltage TV programme guys and they’re willing to build me one but it’s not cheap, probably £60k to £90k they reckon but the guy I’ve bought from today thinks his team can do it cheaper.

I need a project to be interested in so for me this is mine for the foreseeable.

Haven’t told the wife yet, today’s spend needs to fade in her memory before I start costing up to her to start talking about this other money!🤣

Were you living there when Clarkes scrapyard was on the corner where the new houses are ?

No V......we moved in here in October 2017.

Sadly Noel died about 2-3 years ago, I spoke with him for a while one day, nice guy and as you’ll know he was a massive Speedway collector and I was a big fan.

If you come in the opposite direction from Noel’s cottage and past the new houses built on his scrapyard site in the next house down, Noel’s field separates the new barn conversion and houses from my house.

Didn’t know him personally but used to work for a bloke that was into old cars and bikes and we would quite often pop in for him to go and find bits n pieces he wanted

There also used to be a place in Drayton that sold motorbike parts in the old workshops just psst the Robin Hood on the way to Belbroughton

    Thanks Lloyd.

I can’t drive it up to an Albion match though, it’ll make me too obvious a target for the haters!🤣

Nice one Mick, for me classic cars and their history gives them a bit of a soul and personality unlike the stuff we drive today, if you do modernise it, don’t go to far, it’s the quirky ness makes them special:

    I get the car today.

If you spot an ageing bloke in a bright yellow car and hear “More than a feeling” by Boston howling from the radio then stand back!!!
