Just watched the highlights and we are totally useless and the GK? Their 3rd goal was a cross to the 6 yard box and the GK just stood there on his line like a statue and allowed their player to head it past him. It was a GK's ball and he stood there, why? We have to get rid of these players by next season. GK coach? The only one I can think of is 4 wheels to get rid of these so called coaches who could not coach the skin off a rice pudding and we are paying for these? Mr Chairman this is embarrassing...I agree with Terry Harkin, this side will struggle in the 2nd div next year...

I can't see Nigel Cough swapping his top 6 club with games in hand and a great chance of promotion to come here...

I have been saying for a long time on this Forum that the current board and management team are sleep walking into non league obscurity. I have used very strong words which has upset a number of members on this forum but enough is enough abject, clueless this is utterly embarrassing if any of the youngsters in the first team squad had any chance for a career I think Dave and Kenny are doing a pretty good job of killing that off. Poor in every single department and I will say it again when the season ends and players like Lowery, Mandron and Porter are gone this side will be red hot favourites for relegation from league 2 the young players look a million miles away from professional footballers and league 2 will be very much tougher than league 1 physically and they won’t stand up to it. On another note Griffiths absolutely useless get rid.

The league table does not lie we are bottom of both the home and away league table so hence bottom of league one and no doubt will stay there until the bitter end. You find your level in football and this team is certainly not of league one standard, is it league two standard who knows we will see, but with the departure of Tommy Lowery and Mika Mandron no doubt in the summer this team will have no creativity so there is a worry. There needs to be a summer of 'really good' recruitment and possibly some hard decisions about the current playing staff. Yes we do have some good youngsters with promise but they need time and time in football is a small commodity however we will stick with these hoping they do come good. I imagine league two next year will be a struggle although I think the defence will be ok with Sass Davies, Offord, Zac, Uwakwe, Johnson and Adebesi however a good quality hard nosed goalkeeper is certainly required to shout at them and command his box. As for the midfield and the forwards well there is a conundrum. Crewe always had a good midfield there has been little evidence of that this season what with Tommy not being played at the start and the constant chopping and changing and the injuries it has been pretty awful. As for the forwards Mika was good enough for league one and no doubt will get fixed up elsewhere this summer I think that Chris Porter could do a job in league two although he will be a top earner and maybe replaced as for Long I think he could have a good year at that level and Agie on the wing but there is no doubt we need some very good recruitment which will be difficult . Others teams throw money at it look at Salford and they cannot get out of league two and with Stockport and Wrexham being bank rolled it will be hard league for this team. Now as for the manager he is Crewe through and through and had the luxury of some very good players who have gone on to a higher level now they have gone we are what we are there is an old saying 'if you carry on doing what you are doing you will always get what you got' so most likely more of the same the next year. A decision should be made at the end of the season or before so a new manager can have a full off season to do some critical work who would that be I don't know and who would come probably a lot of applicants but you need to find the right man if they are an external candidate, I like Nigel Adkins he did wonders at S****horpe or if you want a Crewe man John Pemberton he has all the licenses UEFA Pro-Licence, UEFA A Licence, Academy Managers Licence, Advanced Youth Licence. Happy to be shot down but they are my thoughts.

No incoming bullets from me Reddog, Crewe Alexandra football club are in a poor position at the moment from the Academy, board, manager, first team, budget and pitch the current hierarchy are making an absolute pigs ear of everything they are doing and there appears to be no accountability. The fans forum or should I say charade was nothing more than cut and paste the last forum the team is poor, the manager is poor, the budget is poor, investment is poor but we still have the academy and we won’t deviate from that there is the problem right there. The academy will sink this club quicker than the iceberg that scuppered the Titanic if the board are not prepared to change we are currently a 1 trick pony the only problem is the pony is 3 legged and lame.

Wartman: strong words don't upset. It's the use of that language WITHOUT being backed up by ANY kind of evidence. You say the board are clueless, make a pigs ear of EVERYTHING and are a one trick pony. So, shouting statements but not really critical comment. You might say it's your opinion, in which case, I could claim that the earth is flat, the moon is made of cheese and Nigel Farage is a very nice man. But most people would probably cease to take me seriously.
I would hope to take everyone seriously. However, if people are just shouty and not interesting in presenting a reasoned argument, then eventually I'll cease to be interested in what they are saying. If someone tells me my opinions/arguments are flawed and proceeds to explain why, then that is altogether different. I'll consider the arguments and respond appropriately.
    Shouting is not conversation!

What’s Nigel Farage done to you ? Are the board demonstrating anything other than ? Are they not demonstrating that they are 1 trick academy sized pony ? Do you not think that they have managed to make a pigs ear out of everything this year Recruitment x2, Player contract handling, Player management why do so many players want out, squad development, matchday tactics, player management re injuries, 1st team budget and finally that farmers field of a pitch, oh and quite a poor scoreboard that is barely readable.

I am referring to the here and now, the academy no longer pays for itself and gives the club a profit in the early years we would sell players for anywhere from 1M up to 3M now we are selling 4 players and getting nowhere near that upper figure, what I am suggesting is unless we change the academy will sink the club quick as we will have take money from the first team budget and put it into the academy budget and the first team will be full of kids playing non league.

Thanks for the last answer. I don't agree, initially but I'm thinking about it.

As for the first reply, you are now raising questions, which is appreciated but you still need to back things up e.g. "one-trick pony"... in what way and what is the 'one trick'? What alternatives would you suggest and why do you think that would be better?
