That was a good solid performance, yes they had chances but they mostly came from big boots up field, i think mattock did ok, but he is the worst of our defenders he got caught out of position too many times and especially when they hit the post, Angus looked solid when he came on and a fit Angus would be a great addition for the run in. Wiles and rathbone were everywhere and the run by wiles and pass was outstanding, Freddie was too greedy the one near the end after great work by tutu was very selfish, Smith about to put it in and he took it off his toe and basically passed it back. We won away from home against a top 6 team, you can't fault that, 12 games to go not sure my nerves can take it.

Throughout this season posters have seemed to be desperate to nominate teams as better than us. I'm talking about genuine, honest posters, not you (Obviously). Fair enough. It's all about opinions. Wigan have cropped up a few times as "best team in the league" - perhaps not after being hammered at home today by a team who have been on the end of a few hammering themselves (not least by us). Some of our stats this season are remarkable. On TV recently I saw that our goals conceded in away games (5 in 15)was a record for all English leagues. It's now 5 in 17. Fantastic

Nowt like waxing lyrical about your team is there?
In 1980/81 our 3rd tier title winning teams record was P46 W24 D13 L9 Pts 61 (2pts for a win back then so the equivalent of 85 in today's money)
We still have 12 to play and already have 75 points.
I'm sure anyone that can remember that far back won't recall us playing our opponents off the park every week or relying on lady luck on occasions

    Enjoy the ride

According to someones maths we’ve only been behind for 179 minutes in the league all season. And only 15 mins away from home. Some stat.

A great 3pts today against a good team going forwards. Comms mentioned that it's only their 4th home game since Nov, so should be good for the paly offs. Great 689 millers there, that's a great turn out UTM.

Thought Icky looked a bit nervous today and we was caught out a couple of times with a long ball over the top. Did we miss Wood's organisational skills?? Vickers certainly kept us in it.
It was a typical top of the league away win. Come under pressure, hold out, have a good bit of luck, and then score a great goal, and hold out again. Well done everyone................UTM....and on to Shrewsbury Tuesday night.

What a fantastic result! Great win for the team well done to the players and the staff on a remarkable away victory.

This was the game I was most worried about. Plymouth away is always going to be a bloody tough fixture but when they are pushing for a promotion slot and in great form I really thought a point would have been a credible return. To bag all three is just sensational.

Yes Plymouth had a couple of great chances, but so did we. It was an even game between two form sides and we were the ones who capitalised. That is the difference between sides that go up and sides that play well but don't get over the line (before anyone starts I know there's a LONG way to go this season and nothing is certain, but my point remains). People seem intent on criticising when the games are close but we simply cannot steamroller every team with one sided hammerings. How many clubs ever do? It's a tough league with some very good clubs wanting to play in the Championship next season.

So a quick note about riding our luck. Yes, can't deny it, we certainly have a few times this season. But is it always pure blind good luck or is it more about the mentality of our opposition at the time? We're the form team, we're top of the table and we keep momentum going for 90+ minutes every game. We don't let up. Maybe, just maybe, oppositions fluff their lines in front of goal because the pressure gets to them when they realise they might be one of the very few to actually pierce our armour? The only goal we've conceded in Feb was the screamer against Wigan, their lad took the chance and found the net with a worldy. Other teams seem to create better, much easier chances and then stutter.

Plus anyone who lumps Vickers' outstanding goalkeeping in with luck is completely off the mark. No luck in that, he is simply a very good keeper who has done his job extremely well. It helps that he's got tough competition from Viktor, who's been very impressive too.

We're not perfect, we're not MASSIVE, we make mistakes etc etc, but I am loving this season. UTM

The difference between that season and this is we were bang average away from home in 80/1 and only 21 of our 61 pts came away from Millmoor. This season, 36 of 75 have come away from NYS. Remembering back to 81 I finally thought we could get promotion on April 11th when we beat Charlton 3-0 at Millmoor but even then we had to wait until that famous last day win against today's opposition to confirm the title. That 'winning' feeling is already here this season and it's not even March yet!

Reading what people said who watched game saying Angus did ok when he came on. Play him tues get him up to speed. Still can't understand why Kelly isn't on the bench? Kayode not ready for this.
