It could have been they were speculating to accumulate based on the fact he might help them avoid relegation. They were 8 points off safety when the transfer window closed and are still 8 points off safety today. It seems Mr. Rooney is getting upset though with his "Nobody loves us" tears!

I've emailed him and told him "ELK loves you "

So does the " Calendar Girls "

Personally I detest the actions of Derby County, while other clubs suffer.

Do the Derby County administrators Quantuma think bidders for the club are thick,
Quantuma are asking for a £5m non-returnable deposit to all bidders, there was
three bidders in for the club.
What bidder is foolish enough to front a non-returnable £5m bid, Quantuma get £15m
in the pot off the three bidders, one gets the club, the two others loose £5m each.

Mike Ashley interest has been reported to have collapsed, for buying Derby County.

Toxic situation at Sheep Park Stadium
If they were a viable proposition someone would have taken them on long ago
Same as Bury FC but different rules and timescales are applied

    According to BBC -
Quantuma have provided a forcast, showing the championship club have
" Sufficient cash ", to get to the end of the season, EFL said.

But no preferred bidder for the club named.

It’s already a tangled web of a takeover, but it’s gone on that long into the season.another angle now to consider for would be investors is waiting to see what division they are going to be in..

Reported that the administrators had applied for a loan from MSD Holdings on Tuesday,
no information to whether they got a loan, MSD Holdings already a creditor of the club.

Sky Sports reported that Mike Ashley had submitted a offer for the club, & no other had
been forthcoming to buy the club on the table.
But Mike Ashley's offer to buy the club had collapsed at the end of last week.

One of the long-term interested parties to buy Derby County say the Championship club's administrators have ended discussions with them after deciding their latest £30m offer was too low.
