No, just get through the quarter finals and loose away in semis with a typical lack lustre performance and IB saying pitch not the best and we struggled against the high press and big men in our box for set pieces.

Law of averages, statistics and our past history tells me no if I had to put money on it. That's the safe bet.

Nope...Not with these bottle jobs..No plan B.. Even the Chessie fans were saying their pitch was sh!te as early as last Saturday, which should have been plenty of time for IB to tell his players to go long and stop faffing about trying the tippy tappy stuff.
Until we get some tanks to do the dirty work we're here for the foreseeable...

I'm afraid to say it's looking more and more like a no. Let's hope I'm as wrong on this as I am on the YAP competition.

I’ll have a better idea after I’ve seen us in the flesh three times next week, but it looks increasingly unlikely.

When IB came in, he explained that he liked ball-playing centre halves and, I think, fell out with his previous club because they wanted to sign “traditional” centre halves. Given that he doesn’t seem to rate Rawlinson or Lacey, I’m surprised the club haven’t signed another Kyle Cameron-type - the sort you need for the scraps at places like Chesterfield. Never a good look when an opposing centre half scores twice against you.

Also, there’s a limit to the number of lightweight players you can carry in the starting XI, especially in the physical battles when you come under pressure. Have we ever had a successful Notts side that didn’t have at least one “enforcer” in there? Until these gaps are covered/lessons learned, we’ll be going nowhere.

Whilst it's easy to say no from this division, I just don't think we'll be able to do it in the playoffs against these teams. We don't like it up us and the top teams and managers know this. So unfortunately no.
