Great game this so far although the Saints are definitely having the better of it unlucky not to get a second with that Adams effort and seem to be cutting us open quite easily. Hopefully take 1-1 to half time then make things a bit harder for them second half. I'd be happy with a point from this one especially with our injuries.

Great to see Wood get his first goal he really deserves it with the performances he's been putting in. That ball from Shelvey though was simply beautiful. Not many players can pass a ball like him at this level.

It's to be expected with it being his first start I suppose. A few wayward passes but definitely some glimmers of his quality.

Shelvey tends to mostly frustrate me, and I’m not sure I like him being even vice captain, but he’s carried himself really well under Howe and it’s true - he can pick out a pass better than most.

Before that assist though he had a few ball losses.
