One top top guy is Robbie Williams! Robbie had organised the football aid match at Old Trafford and my daughter who was about 8 then photographed herself with a message held up - best of luck Robbie with the match and I love your songs! This was on Insta where he’s massive.
Could not believe it - Robbie sent back a personal message to my daughter thanking her and said her message had made his day. Robbie then shared the message to all his thousands of followers.
It made my daughters day!
Lizzie Windsor's husband the Duke, nastiest bloke i've met.
My next neighbour who went to Buck house to get his D of E gold medal also said the same.
Noel Edmond is also a bad un.
I used to drink in The Crown in Bray, which is opposite the Fat Duck ad just a few hundred yards from The Waterside Inn. Michael Parkinson was a regular and often had a chat about cricket. He was a huge fan. Various other celebrities would usually be there with Parkinson including on one occasion Ronnie Corbett who was very pleasant.
I always knew it about Harry.
It might be how you catch people if they are having a bad day or not. We are all human and star or not it's impossible to be pleasant to everyone 24/7.
When my mother in law was in Russells Hall Johnny Briggs came to see his mother in law who was also in. He talked to my mother in law about Corrie and was very pleasant.
Roy Wood used to go in the Navigation at Greensforge by us, and Planty sometimes came in, both down to earth blokes.
Ally Rob used to call in the Hinksford on his way back from work and Super Bob has been in more than once. Again very down to earth guys, but we know Super love's mixing with fans and having a few drink.
I tend to leave them alone unless they speak to me, just because we are fans doesn't mean they are personal property.
In the sixties my mates friend was on holiday in Wales, they were having a drink when Jeff Astle and some blokes walked into the bar. They wanted an autograph but were nervous to approach him. Finally one asked him for the autograph explaing they were Albion fan's.
Astle walked over to where they were sitting, asked what they were drinking and bought them all a drink.
How about Shefali, Mick?
