I guess we will only really know how good he was after we have watched Button for a season, I thought he was ok and a good shot stopper and regarding his distribution most of the time he was following orders, but i like most people think he will struggle to be a No1 at a top 10 prem club.

    We can only dream.

Foster was not only a good keeper but he was always excellent with the fans and especially the kids.

I just wish he’d stuck around rather than bail out on us, that cost him legend status in my eyes.

I’d take him over anyone else at that we have or who we’re looking at though.

Foster was willing to stay on following relegation and talks were planned. Unfortunately our temporary Sporting Director, the Italian chap whose name escapes me, told Foster he held him responsible for relegation as he was our keeper and it's the keeper's job to keep goals out.

We'd entered talks with Johnstone and the vibe was that he was coming in as the young number one with potential, and if Foster wanted to stay he'd be on the bench.... or at least that's what I've been led to believe.

Imagine that? A keeper of Foster's ability and standing being told he's too old, sh it and he was going to be number two to a player not fit to lace his boots? I'd have been off too.

Somewhat harsh, that! Anyway, we should be looking to the future, I would like to see Palmer given a chance, Griffiths is rated highly, too.
