Hasselbaink or any other coach wi any experience or credibility would do well to steer well clear imo.
anti football Pass , organised but awful to watch , negative approch to games , hard to believe considering he was a Top Striker in his day 🤔

The club is crying out for a change in direction. However, the lack of finances dictate things somewhat. Having had time to digest the comments and ideas of the new board, unfortunately i can't see anything other than trouble on the horizon. As Animal has pointed out, they may have their heart in the right place but they have no experience in the running of a football club therefore the key decisions become paramount. The club is crying out for an experienced Director of Football to link the whole jigsaw together and add some much needed input. Without that it's a lottery imo.

Perhaps so Roma. It also has to be taken into consideration the calibre of player that he deemed he was working with at Northampton and his second stint at Burton. 20/21 he kept Burton in league 1 when they were rock bottom and looking like a relegation certainty. 21/22 Burton were steady lower mid table. Solid work in my book.

With all due respect to Burton and Northampton, I'd like to think that there was a bit more quality to work with at Barnsley. Just my opinion mi owd.

It also bugs me lads, that we're still haggling and pratting about over this decision, a week into June!.
Other teams can make big decisions like this within a week sometimes, and I'm wondering if we've missed out on Duff now because of simply faffing about. 😕

BURTON Albion FC is aware of the speculation regarding Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and can confirm that the manager has spoken to Barnsley about their vacant position but has decided to stay at the Pirelli Stadium.

Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson gave Barnsley permission to talk to Hasselbaink but after speaking to Barnsley the Brewers manager had decided that he prefers to stay and continue his work at the Pirelli Stadium.

Hasselbaink said: “It’s always flattering to be approached by other clubs and to be offered new opportunities, but I have always been very happy at Burton Albion, and grateful for the Chairman’s support.

“I have always said that it’s a work in progress here and we have put the emphasis on bringing in young players and building for the future. I’m eager to continue that work and to carry on building an exciting squad here at Burton Albion.

We can see where this could be heading---Hasselbaink "pulls out", Duff goes to Blackpool and Warnock decides to stay retired.

The club then announces the appointment of a second tier Austrian coach who "was always our first choice and we have been chasing him for a while".

    Hopefully only joking.
