We're all descended from immigrants - my lot are mainly directly Viking or indirectly Viking (Normans and Irish/Scots) with a bit of spice thrown in somewhere along the line but we can trace them back to living in England for over a thousand years.

Which is why I find it amusing that recent immigrant families like Johnson's and Farage's tend to be the most nationalist and xenophobic.

There should be a law that anyone whose direct paternal family line can't be traced back to living in England for at least twenty generations shouldn't be allowed to vote - that should eliminate the far right as they're all potato famine Micks and Eastern Europeans

A few years ago one of my brothers and my sister had a real good go at tracing our family tree. They gave up after our distant and immediate ancestors were found to be a curious mixture of Irish, Italian and Lancastrian. Explains a lot really.

Watched Pretty at Question Time yesterday and deportations of illegal immigrants was high in the agenda , the usual trash from her opposite number who bear faced lied ( unusual for a politician) about labours stance right back to where they were last in power and Miss Patel pointed that out to her that she had introduced the rulings on which we were trying to send our first plane to Rwanda.

I posted that because you immediately all jump to the far right - racism and the like when actually the average person is just sick of propping up immigrants who come here to milk the system ( let’s be honest they don’t come without issues do they - rape - theft - murder of politicians and of course sponging of us the public.

As Pretty delivered her notes the next boat from the channel landed on our shores and another 20 or so YOUNG MEN disembarked for a hotel and warm bed and £37 a week to get started.
