Well done Hungary. They're a very well organised outfit who kept their shape, stifled England and took their chances. England defending was quite embarrassing at times to be honest. Tha can't give any international footballers time and space or else tha'll get punished. Simple as that.

Southgate was found tactically wanting against a resolute side. We had a nothing midfield and constantly passed the ball sideways along defence cos nobody came short for it or tried to get a grip on this game. I'm all for giving new players a chance but in these 4 nations league matches, there's been far too many changes in personnel, therefore no cohesion or understanding between our players.

It's been a long season I understand that but the World Cup is just around the corner in terms of how many fixtures England will play between now and the start of the tournament. I think Southgate has given far too many new players a go when, in my opinion, we should keep changes to a minimum and keep our side as settled as possible.

We've seen players like Bowen, Abraham, Ward Prowse, Gallagher, the so called Yorkshire Pirlo etc being draughted in and they're not international class. Southgate needs to settle this team down and play players in their correct positions.

Who is saying he's not good enough to wear the Barnsley shirt ?.
(apart from Nudger of course lol)

I'm saying that I think it's pathetic that he's playing for a foreign country, because of grand parents or great grand parents.

The critics of Styles need not worry, the lad won't be putting on a Barnsley shirt ever again.

I'd like to thank Styles for his efforts. The lad has progressed very well in his time at Barnsley and gotten international recognition. Hungary are a very good side and there's no muppets laiking for them. This isn't like Scot Wisemann laikin for Gibraltar is it! The Hungary manager clearly rates Styles which tells it's own story. Best of luck to the lad.

I had a Czech grandfather and a Polish grandmother. I consider myself English. However, if I was a pro footballer, I'd have no hesitation in playing for either of those two nations if I was called up and shown an interest in. The rules apply worldwide. I don't see the problem myself.

Ever thought you are looking at it the wrong way ?

Despite less than strong links to Hungary he's actually considered to be better than 9.75m Hungarians to represent the country against Germany and England .

So any playing down the achievement is actually the exact opposite which is what you are trying to do .

Has tha just made that up ?
    Cos I can’t remember saying that 🤔🤔🤔
I’ve probably said that he hasn’t progressed in the Barnsley team this season.
But neither did most of the players.

Ahh well, his heads been turned now and he won't be playing for us anymore.
In fact I don't think he would have even if we'd stayed up.

I’m quite proud that we get a few mentions as his current club, and from my point of view also proud that the likes of John Stones, Mason Holgate and Harry Maguire came through our doors. Good luck to Callum, he came here from Bury to progress, and that’s what he’s doing. His foresight in choosing to play international football (with whichever team HE chooses) should be his decision, it will improve his profile, and give him opportunities, that he otherwise wouldn’t have had. Good Luck lad.
What worries me is that the scouting systems, which found him and others from the lower Leagues ( Mawson, Hourihane, Roberts, McDonald, Lindsay, Pinnock ) is no longer the team it was. Poached, dismantled and disregarded, we will be lucky if we see this type of player come through our scouting system again in such short order as it has over the last five or six years. .
