I have to ask which of the plethora of post-Munto/Cotteril managers who have been there and done that and know the leagues and what is needed would we want back?
Even Curle who was despised by many got us to the highest position* we'd seen for a decade and more.
*Hopefully someone will have ready access to the table at the time of his sacking.
We're a fifth rate club, relegated under foolHardy ownership with another BTDTGTTS choice of manager.
The words "sustainable" were used in the recent interview. The prime aim of any business is to survive, anything above that is a bonus, anything below that is oblivion.

To be honest, I like the appointment as long as we're not going for a 'cut price' Steve Cooper '.
Why do people keep saying "PE Teacher" it is insulting.
Burchnall managed in a higher league than NL level also Potter managed there but nobody calls him PE Teacher.
Take a look at Lampard the bloke has played at the top but he is completely hopeless as a manager but hey he played at a good level so must be good.
I guess in NL its slim pickings and if we appointed Matt Gray instead of Burch people would have said "He is only at Sutton"
The very thing some of our fans said about Forest is happening here arrogance has crept in.
Williams like everyone else is a risk and like few have said "normal managers" have put us here.
Absolutely Woody !!
All the Reedtz Brothers fault.
They know nothing about UK soccer, just playing at Football Manager with daddies money.
Let's drive the Nerd Brothers out and get in a good honest hardworking owner like Norman Smurtwaite - did a great job at Port Vale and still has a quid in his pocket.
Or somebody a bit more ruthless like Alick Kapikanya aka Alex May (convicted fraudster).
Or gamble big time with that mysterious South African consortium.
WE HAVE TO GAMBLE TO MAKE PROGRESS - remember " Pay Peanuts and you get Monkeys"...

Tbf Legs it's a only a very small number who use that term and have pretty much since day one.
It does make me smile how the PE teacher got headhunted by a successful league club who now operate in League One. Bet he got a tidy pay rise, unlike actual teachers so IB can certainly laugh in those people's faces. Not that he would because he's far too classy.
The thing is it's understandable that some don't like the way of playing the Reedtz prefer their coaches to adhere to, I too would like to mix it up a bit and not invite as much pressure on the defence when facing a high press. Sometimes we can't play through it time and again at this level. I do think though that this is the way a lot of teams play now through the leagues and the way players coming through from youth setups are trained. Like it or not we're only going to see more of this in the future at all levels. It might take longer to get out this league doing it but when we do we'll be in a great position to carry on instead of having to rip it up and start again. We also will be a viable loan option as is said often we do things the right way. I think the new management pair having experience of this league and the league above though will play that way but added to that they will add some bite, height and a bit of the nasty all clubs need to not be a pushover.
