I too never had the pleasure but the fella I used to go to the games with did see him and waxed lyrical about his abilities. RIP Finn.

My Dad used to sing a song to me to the tune of King of the road. (mair in a Dundineeze style than the Proclaimers version) First line was " Finn Dossin' numbir nine"

Can't remember anymore of it unfortunately. His second fav player to play for United just after Big Ron obviously

I saw a comment on Fb that I liked.
'Finn Dossing is one of the reasons we are the Club we are now'.

I'm not gloating when I say I was at the Massacre of 65.
Being there was one of the reasons I have tangerine blood coursing thro my veins.
He was a God to me.
And built like a brick sh!thouse.

I got to meet him in 2017 when he was over.
I'd produced a retro shirt of the time with DOSSING 9 on the back & he signed the front, printed in capital letters actually! Lost the pic on a phone transfer
But the shirt is on the wall.

    RIP FINN DOSSING NUMBER NINE

Too young to remember Finn, but from what I’ve read about him coupled with some of the stories from the auld man he was some player. His stats weren’t to shabby too. RIP Finn you’ll be remembered along side the legends of the 80s. 🖤🧡

Stat....The team that Finn played in beat Celtic twice 3-2 and 2-3 in their European Cup winning year 1967.

That season Celtic were undefeated against all comers bar Dundee United as Stokie Boy mentions above. To put that into perspective they won the following trophies.

    Glasgow Cup(big at that time)
    League Cup
    Scottish Cup
European Cup(lost one leg away to a Serbian team)
Scottish League division 1(lost only 2 games both to Dundee United)

RIP Finn a club legend who's name will never be forgotten with the iconic Dens Park Massacre song still sung to this day by Arabs young and old.

Your last sentence says it all. I just missed seeing him play by months.but saw him stroll onto the pitch could have been when he was inducted into the hall off fame. His face said it all.RIP. Finn.
