    You’re missing my point.

The football they play is utter rubbish yet the media are overhyping it and trying to make it something that it isn’t and woe betide anyone who speaks to the contrary.

You’ve long complained about the media forcing “the knee” on you yet your falling into the trap with this fraud they are espousing about the women’s game.

I honestly can’t believe you actually enjoy this pap.

You wouldn’t drive down the M1 to watch West Brom women play, be honest?

I wouldn’t open my curtains to watch if they were playing in my back garden.

No I wouldn’t drive anywhere to watch it but I am enjoying the euros when bothered to watch the odd game. It’s seeing hundreds and hundreds of girl teams at the matches all having a great time in a carnival atmosphere which is adding to the excitement. One of our local teams went.

There was some well taken goals last night! You can’t tell me seriously that s hit like Austin - Phillips - Zohore - Hugill and HRK would have scored them all. No way!

Many would say the banter and carnival feel at these euro matches are better than mens football for families. No language - no thugs - no fighting etc etc. I get it!

    Hear, hear!

No cheating, no diving, no overpaid primadonnas, etc, etc.

Comparing male and female sports are, in my opinion, to completely be missing the point.

    No it isn’t.

It’s being portrayed over here as something it isn’t.......ie “brilliant”.

Will you be travelling from Sweden to watch West Brom ladies?

    No, I thought not.

The England goals were shown on the news last night, it was the first goal I think, hardly any contact at all but down she went; penalty! Now that was copied from the mens game.

I have no issue whatsoever with ladies football and there’s no reason for it not to be entertaining. Non league football can be highly entertaining but there’s no way that it can be considered anywhere near Premier League standard. I have no problem with it being on TV either, prime time or otherwise, there is far worse sh!te on prime time TV than womens football. The worst thing about it is that frightful woman, Alex Scott, awful, really awful.

Well, I am crazy enough to travel from Sweden to watch Albion men, so I probably lack in judgement… And watching South West Peninsula Football League when in Cornwall during season.

But, I don’t travel abroad to see Sweden men playing, btw.

The thing when it comes to football people always have to compare men and women, whereas, with other sports they seldom do; marathon, boxing, high jump (WR 2,45 vs 2,09 I believe), pole vault (WR ca 6,20 vs ca 5,05), weight lifting etc, etc.

And I really find it hard to understand ”rammed down our throats” just because something is on BBC 1.

Female sports (as with so many other things females do) have for so long been in the shadows and deserve to be acknowledged, in my opinion.

And, I’ve seen and heard media use words like ”brilliant, fantastic, super” etc about men CL-games that have been as exciting as watching paint dry btw, comes with ”the media territory”.

Totally agree! Premier League the exception but got to say - watching some ( i say some parts of the games) including the crowd - well it's been far more enjoyable than watching many West Brom games last season. A few of those goals Phillips would have put the ball in McDonald's on the Birmingham Road!

I agree about Alex Scott but in her defense she does not come across as thick like a piece of turd compared to many of the male pundits!

    She's annoying though!

One of our local girls teams were invited to the England HQ to watch the players train and then all went to the match - all so so happy and all over the local press! Your lucky if Kane, Sterling and Greasy would even take time to give you an autograph.

Sport ( any ) does not necessarily have to be full of talent as many families like to go for a good time, banter, and for their kids to be happy - bit like going to the theatre! Watching West Brom v Millwall for example would scare most families away at the thought!

The bigger picture - now there's three words!

Because that’s what it is in comparison to elite men’s football Dubs.

The equivalent in tennis to tossing two rackets to a couple of chimps and watching them at Wimbledon.

Sorry lads but you are kidding yourselves, see what you’re actually watching, it was embarrassing watching the Norway girls last night.

I think it was the second goal where the one defender was almost in a sitting position playing the forwards onside 🤣🤣

Not since my days in Sunday morning division 6 have I seen anything so hapless.

But if you’ve got nothing else to do then keep on enjoying this feast of quality.
