Whilst I agree that as yet he is a little lightweight, that can be something to work on, and I'll also say that I would have liked him to score a few more goals, but he does get himself into good areas, gru can't have it both ways, if we are going to continue with our academy we have to persist with them and, for me anyway, JJ has got one hell of a lot of positives and the negatives can be worked on. Far all his effort and skill, (his three touch control at Wembley and lay off to Wiles to score, was exquisite under pressure) he is just not strong or good enough for the Championship. We all have our different views on players and I respect both of yours so please don't use inappropriate words to describe my points on a player.

Yes there is a player in there but it has not reached anywhere it's potential yet and we simply cannot afford to carry passengers especially in this league. I wish the lad well with his injury and recuperation but, when he's fit then get him out on loan to help him develop as this league is far too early for him just yet. If you both think he's championship material and could do a job for us, then that's your opinion and I respect it.

NB. Apologies for my slight deviation from the original post. Congratulations to Jake, very pleased for him and yes this lad will go very far in the game if he looks after himself. Level headed, and has all the good attributes to being a good Centre Half.
I used the word lightweight Brin that you have used before about JJ, so why is that inappropriate? you also seem to ignore the good things about him such as his constant closing down of defenders and him getting in good areas on the pitch and he, for me anyway, has good awareness about him.
I respect everyone's right to an opinion but we will have to agree to disagree about JJ Brin, I think the lad has real potential and this season will be the making of him and not on loan. UTM

Ronners, I respect your points but I feel you are way off with JJ. We shall have to wait and see and I truly hope you and JJ prove me totally wrong

Take no notice of Brin Ronners he's gone through the 'change'. Two years ago when JJ was out on loan and we were struggling he had him down as someone who could feed 5,000 with 5 loaves and a couple of fish

It did work for Marcus Rashford Grist, but unfortunately he is now known more for his food than his football. UTM

For what it's worth I don't really see it with JJ either. Not currently anyway. The good positions and areas he gets into that others have seen must have alluded me also. I see a very raw talent who is league 1 / 2 level.

I hope I'm wrong. All about opinions as others have said but I'm with Brin on this one. Not for me, for this season.
