A protest was arranged last season.I am no expert at organising protests - maybe we need someone with a Trade Union background who knows the protocols. But I think it needs to start small ... like a snowball rolling down hill gathering momentum and getting bigger. For example:
As far as I know this is a free country, so no-one can stop us organising a peaceful protest at 1pm on (say) 3pm kick off match days near the ground. We can have banners, scarves anything we bloody like. We have some ties to journalists who we could invite along to be take photos and do interviews. Maybe a specially designed scarf as Mick said is a step too far at the outset .. so why not pick a protest colour ... like Man Utd do with their Green and Yellow against the Glazers. Let’s have some bright red communist party scarves ... people can put whatever message they want. I did a cursory review on the internet and you can get a personalised scarf for about £10 with the letters LAI OUT - SAVE THE ALBION printed on it.
At the end of the day we can’t force Lai to sell or get Fat Ron sacked or even Bruce for that matter. But we can shine a light on the b****t going on at our club. Unfit Chinese owner asset stripping. Underhand financial skullduggery and dubious practices. Community club being ruined for financial gain. Questions for the FA about football ownership. Get the local MP involved. We could try to boycott attending home games .... but this is like trying to wean fans off their weekly fix of football. Probably not going to happen ... but start small.
My feeling is there are thousands of people out there who really care about the Albion, have supported them all their lives and are angry enough to try to do something if only it could be organised. For many if Albion win or lose it makes their whole weekend. Yet we have this b*****t owner taking the p***.every week that goes by.
We have a choice folks ... stand by and idly watch our club sink lower and lower .... or actually try to do something about it.
It was supposed to be before a game, outside the east stand.
From what I recall no one turned up.
