    13. Hello I Love You - The Doors
    26. Simon Says - 1910 Fruit Gum Company
    27. Young Girl - Gary Pucket & The Union Gap
    28. Lili The Pink - The Scaffold
    51. Ive Got To Get A Message To You - The Bee Gees

Hope I've not strayed into 'easy' territory with these. (It's not easy to separate them since one person's easy is another's hard. From a quick glance, 22, 31, 36, 37 and 41 are ones I would pass over...)

    All 5 correct CT.

As you say it's very subjective as to which ones are 'easy' and was really just a bit of fun. Of your answers I would have had 28 as borderline but probably only because in this year I was of an age that memorised all the words to the 'novelty' songs. The other 5 you list are certainly on the 'easier' end of the scale.

Millertop I want to help you out so you get the point pal....it's Esther and Abi Ofarim. If that's not the answer then Esther sang it with some Brothers.

    36. Mighty Quinn - because of the year I'm going for Bob Dylan....failing Dylan who first recorded it, it will be Manfred Mann
    46. Ob-la- di, ob- la- da - Marmalade
    47. Do you know the way to San Jose - Dionne Warwick
    53. Honey - Bobby Goldsboro
    58. Lazy Sunday - Small Faces

Agree on 28 and, like you, I tended remember these kinds of songs because they were novelty numbers. (Also by The Scaffold was the very dirgy "2 Days Monday" which I have to confess I can still quote verbatim!)

Correct on the artists for 7.

Wrong artist on the 'easy' 36, 2nd guessing yourself there. 46 another easy picking for a man of your knowledge Brin. 47 I think you have the wrong number. 53 correct and maybe the most depressing song of all time, reflects the RUFC mood lately. 58 correct.
