Yeah, good old David who promotes climate change and he's flown, with a team of cameramen and hanger ons, around the world for the last 60yrs making films of wildlife(great programmes by the way), and with the licence payers money......another hypocrite.

Wow, this is a fascinating glimpse into how some people's minds actually work.

It's their job. How else is he reasonably supposed to get to these places and make these "great programmes"?

Some people see everything in black and white. If you care about the environment then any flying is automatically wrong and hypocritical!? What a simplistic worldview.

You're right, I doubt Charles cares about what me or you think.

He probably wants people to think of themselves as subjects in the grand scheme of things though as otherwise the whole ruse of the monarchy starts to crumble.

His "Dear, oh dear" introduction to Liz Truss was very funny.

The Queen managed thousands of these meetings without incident.

Now the public will be wondering why on earth this unelected man gets reported to weekly by the prime minister. If he's not supposed to be political why is he being consulted? Do we really think he's keeping his opinions to himself?

David Attenborough.........he's a carnivore so that says a lot about him! I'm not a royalist but I support a constitutional monarchy because it keeps politicians at bay from getting their grubby little fingers on the pomp and ceremony of being the head of state. History proves there is nothing special about Republics. There are no torture chambers or despots to be found anywhere in the world within the last remaining constitutional monarchies.

I do agree with the idea of a non-political, ceremonial head of state. There are countries that have successful implemented this.

Constitutional monarchies are predominantly a Western European phenomenon.

Guess what, there aren't many torture chambers or despots in Western Europe Republics either.

You could use your same logic to say EU membership is a good way of avoiding such things.

I'm not sure what David Attenborough being a carnivore says about him other than that he eats meat.

Really? How about Saudi Arabia or Bahrain for starters. Both have a constitutional monarchy and both have appalling human rights records.

To be fair I think Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy. Not sure about Bahrain.

It's their job!!! ....He was speaking at a Climate Conference a while ago spelling out how much damage is caused by air travel and suggesting "we" should cut back. He really means poor old Joe Bloggs and family going to Majorca once a year, not him 'cos it's his job.

If you really believe all this about Climate Change then why would anyone keep flying?

Simon Reeve in his recent "America's" series actually mentioned that they were contributing to the problem by making the series. Maybe he doesn't believe in it?
