according to the BBC local Maidenhead weather, the temperature is to drop to minus 5. Frost covers are only any good down to minus 4, and that's assuming that they have them, which is very doubtful.

Hard to think of much worse conditions that have forced a Notts match to be PPd in the last decade or so. Even when it snows, it's rarely as bad as minus 5 and it's often the danger factor (rock hard pitch/ icy pavements outside the ground) rather than the snow itself that forces games off these days. I am surprised they think this will still go ahead.
