Same old, same old - beat some minnows in Iran, Wales and Senegal then the nation gets hysterical, lose then to the first decent team we meet.

I can't help thinking that all these woke, naffy kneeling displays and the resulting publicity surely must detract from the players ability to play to their best and ultimately resulted in their defeat. They are presumably representing England not some Black lives matter outfit and surely some of the players must have felt coerced into doing this knee bending sh1te.

I hope now that we can be finally rid of Wokey gate and get a manager who instills pride in wearing the Shirt of England and not coloured laces and wristbands of political BS gestures

We also make ourselves a target for other less Woke nations and get their dander up.

We’d win the gold for Wokeness, it’s not even a contest.

We need a manager that doesn’t need to hide behind all this virtue signalling.........you know the sort.....someone who’s actually too busy winning.

I didn't see any other major nation taking the knee, so hopefully this could be a start to its demise at our grounds now.

We are in a great place with English football atm. I’m happy to leave everything as it is. As to the penalty I’ll bet you could get a compilation video of all the top players missing penalties. It happens. We outplayed France as we did Italy in the final of the European cup. Everybody loses. Just ask Belgium, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Brazil. No doubt France will be next when they fail to beat a resolute morocco with energy to burn and a stadium packed with electric fans.

Very well described in the book ”Why England lose & other curious football phenomena explained” by Simon Kuiper & Stefan Szymanski.
