    Caught it last Friday.
Spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday and some of Monday in bed.
    Didn’t see the England game.
Didn’t know what day it was.
Over a week now and I’m still trying to get rid of the last of it.
I’ve had Covid twice this year - this flu bug has hit me 3x worse than that.
Read tuther day that flu admissions to hospitals are now higher than covid cases.
    It’s terrible.

Not looking like a promotion team at the moment.
There are clear absence of links between midfield and the forwards.
Neither midfield taking the ball forward or forwards linking up with the midfield.

Little movement from Norwood - expecting Jalo to jump infront of him soon.
    Cole and Mads were immense.
Excellent passing by Kich - very Hunter-esq.

    Bring on the January window.
And fingers crossed Thomas is back sooner rather than later.
Sorry but I have to disagree with you , we did not make hard work of it all, we never had to get out of second gear & won comfortably , I also disagree with you about Norwood , he worked very hard off the ball & also on a couple of occasions today he ran hard at their defence with a turn of pace which really surprised me , he did ok at the very least & Cole was certainly not immense, his work off the ball was well down on previous matches but has Duff explained he had been ill which explains him being sluggish , at the back Kitchen , Mads & Williams were excellent with Connell & Kane controlling the midfield it was a job well done & for all the Victor lovers he proved today why letting him go was a good decision , he never had a kick all game , all in all considering the illness & injuries it was a job well done.

Harsh comment that imo. It's not a fair reflection judging him in a game where he's up against the 2nd best defence in the Football League. The lack of service that Vic got today was testimony to his achievements in scoring 10 league goals for a side who have occupied relegation zone all season. Until today, our front two, Norwood and Cole, hadn't matched that tally between them. It puts it into perspective and we've lacked bite up front this season. I'd have kept him personally.

I'd have kept Victor as well. He had no service at all today but to get 10 goals playing in that team is more than respectable.
Norwood chased down one of their which led to the throw in from which we scored the first goal. On the whole I thought he played well today.

I make comments on what I see , his goal contribution at Oakwell decided his future & I said at the time that a move for Victor might kick start his career & it has, fair play to him but it never worked for him with us & I doubt whether it would have if he had stayed , I think he would not have got the opportunity"s with us that he has had at Burton & good luck to him but yesterday he was shocking , he fell over 3 times in the first half & his contribution was to chase the ref & complain , in the second half despite Burton getting forward a lot more he never actually got on the ball , he was very poor along with his team mates & that summed up his day . I do not get this love in with ex players, hindsight is a wonderful thing & Victors popularity has risen with every goal he scores for Burton , the trouble is he couldn"t score for us , he had to go .

I thought he rejected a new contract rather than us letting him go?

It's not an 'ex player love in' from my point of view. The point that I was making (an issue that is possibly gonna cost us a play off place if its not addressed) is that our striker options aren't quite good enough. Cole has improved and done better this season all be it in league 1, fair play. Norwood isn't up to much imo. It's no good running around if you can't control or pass a ball very well. Aitchison shows promise but needs to fill art as a young man and gain the necessary strength that will add extra to his game. Aiden Marsh at 19 years old needs loaning out again because he needs games in order to develope as a player. Tedic wants sending back.

The head coach has worked incredibly hard to get the club into a positive league position with the squad he has at his disposal. It's glaringly obvious that we need some quality up front in order to mount a serious promotion challenge and build on Duff's great work so far. The board should back him and give him a couple of decent strikers to work with.

Burton Albion must've offered him a better deal.

We were skint and I guess Burton offered him a deal to ensure he was still playing EFL football this season.

    Good luck to him.
