My post was an indirect attempt at saying we look doomed at this level. We are a very good League 1 side, but are well and truly stuck in terms of not being able to crack the next step. Without debating the rights and wrongs of the model we work by, that is the situation we are in. A situation that won't change.
Players and Management could do loads better, don't get me wrong, but the bad 'luck' with injuries we are having right now is just a nail in the coffin. We cannot compete without a 95% fit squad, we have next to nothing in reserve. Incredibly brittle line to tread, and when it goes wrong, like now, it is painfully exposed. Last season no real major injuries and we benefited, this season it will kill our aims.
I can take going up and down, could be worse. Wouldn't half love surviving just once however, see what we could do next, but alas.
