No doubting Foster's talent but he has been retired a long time. I think a top National League keeper in good form might get something on at least one of them.

Would be funny if their thirst for big names and reputations ended up being their downfall.
16 mins of highlights? They don't mess about.

That's to take into account all the added interest from a section of the Notts fanbase. You should be grateful countygump.

I thought Fosters reaction to two of the goals was telling. He was quickly back up on his feet berating his defence, usually a sign that the keeper knows he was at fault and is trying to cover his poor keeping. It would be ironic if Wrexham's money were to be their downfall.

I honestly I have no idea. It could go so many different ways. but the most obvious way seems a comprehensive Wrexham win, so I'll go with that.

    Wrexham 4 - 1 Notts

    Mullin (pen x4)
Mullin (own goal from a penalty that rebounded off the bar and all the way back over their keeper).

I have a feeling something unexpected will happen to completely kill the game. Like a penalty and sending off in the first ten minutes, or the keeper getting injured and us not having one on the bench.

    Hope I'm wrong!

First goal will be crucial. if they go ahead, the atmosphere and occasion might get to us. We need to survive the first twenty minutes and see where it takes us.

I think this will be a game for the ages and one that lives up to all the hype - el clasico nono-ligo

It'll help that the visiting side needs to win and the home team's too rattled and prideful to play a cagier game...

    3-2 to somebody

    Wrexham 0. Notts 1

Slocombe and Rawlinson start for Notts.
Langstaff scores for Notts after 10 mins. The crowd are silenced but then start booing Langstaff after he's floored in the penalty area and gets booked for diving. The replay shows Tozer clearly fouled him.
Notts go in 1 up at Half Time
Second half sees Notts defending for their life with Sam making two world class saves then with 10 mins to go Mullin dives under a challenge from Rawlinson and the ref gives a penalty to Wrexham and sends Rawlinson off after he picked up a yellow in the first half. The replay confirms it was a clear dive. Luke Williams substitutes Sam for Archie Mair who saves Mullins penalty. Notts hang on even though the fourth official indicates 6 minutes added time. With one minute of extra time Foster hoofs it upfield in one last desperate attempt for Wrexham. Mullin goes one on one and Archie Mair who catches Mullin and down he goes but the ref waves it away. Notts win 1-0 then I woke up.

Seriously though I expect a very nervous 1-1 draw which will help Wrexham more than us taking the title fight to the wire.

I've been through similar mood swings over the last couple of days and probably predicted every result possible in my head. I can only pick one on here however, and I can't ignore Wrexham's incredible home record so it has to be Wrexham 3-1 Notts (Rodrigues). Away attendance = as many tickets as they make available.

Their home record includes so many games where it's been level deep into the game and they've turned it around late in the game...

If the NL mid-tablers can slow them down, we can do. I think we can rule out being blown away. They're not a juggernaut and we're too good for that outcome.

He looked very slow on those 2 goals, should have saved them both, that was always the risk signing him.
