    Commiserations on your loss Griff.

I have this old car, really appreciate having it as just having a car on the road is really expensive these days and especially after years of not driving - this is the best car I have ever had though as because it has no sell on value the worry about scuffs and the likes has gone from my life, kids and animals are welcome to do their worst and it has a sunroof which is ace.

Sounds a bit juvenile I know but I save up old eggs and I picked my little girl up and took her for a spin and she likes to go out in the country, I stop and when there is nobody about, she stands on the passenger seat on tip toes so her head and shoulders are sticking out of the sunroof and she fires these eggs everywhere, spraying them at trees and the likes and especially at red squirrels (only jesting Chalky).

Probably because it is naughty and she shouldn't be doing it that she likes it so much but the fun she gets out of it and the belly laughs you can hear as she does it would make any Bank Holiday a special one in my book.

Sounds like great fun to me crusha,I can just imagine how much enjoyment your girl will be getting out of something naughty with her dad who's probably egging her on (cracking pun intended)
It's the simple things like that she will remember when she's an adult and got kids of her own and I totally agree about the joy and no worries about owning an older car

You should try it Chalky, it is ace beyond words - just make sure that there is nobody around as imagine the sort of looks that you would get?

The bloke who owns the locksmiths just off the centre of Carlisle is a bit of a weirdo - he used to be my next door neighbour and a few years back I was in the bathroom upstairs and heard the kids playing outside on the patio so I grabbed a handful of those 'Fun Snaps' that make a little tiny cracking noise and smoke, you get them in newsagents and the likes and they will sell them to any ages, I chucked these onto the patio to scare the kids, which it did but some landed on the outside roof under the bathroom and the neighbour seen this and shouted loads of abuse and went off inside.

Next thing there are Police sirens and three policemen wanting to come in, I genuinely had no idea what they wanted and they said that they have had a complaint from the neighbour that I am aiming Fireworks at him, lighting them and setting them off, when I had shown them the Fun Snaps they got quite angry and hurried off to see him - next thing I see two coppers sticking his wife who helps in the shop into the back of the police van that was obviously initially brought along to take me away in, she was putting up a bit of resistance and looked half cut.

See Chalky, totally innocent fun can potentially get you in bother - my heart sank like mad when I seen these policemen at the door and wondering what they wanted, funnily enough another thing that crosses your mind is 'have I anything to hide that they will see when they come in' but nothing crossed my mind so I came to the conclusion that I watch too many police dramas.

I'm not sure where the moral of your story lays crusha, you start by encouraging me to join in with the jollyities and then finish by saying that innocent japes can get the rozzers bursting through the door at any minute? 😄

Yes to the eggs but 'just say no' to Fun Snaps
