We get much bigger crowds now (especially when considering home fans tickets sold) than we did during the season we nearly got in the league 1 playoffs, last decade.

So it stands to reason if we was doing well in league 1 now, we would be getting sell outs most games. If we got to the championship, then we definitely would.

If we got to this point and (unbelievably) needed to increase stadium capacity, how would you suggest we do it?

My suggestion would be to widen the back of the JS stand and gain the extra room to legally be able to use its whole capacity again. That would be a quick fix.. but what about long-term?

Where / how would you increase capacity of the ground?
Think we got gates of around 11 500 in the top flight but bear in mind Forest only had an average of 13,000/ the gates were generally much much lower, they have been rising steadily after, so in real terms our gates in the top flight would blow away this seasons gates, and would probably be only limited by gate capacity

I think Pavis considered building a 30,000 seater stadium, which he may well have done if we had remained in the top flight , but he went for just above 20,000 as that was supposed to minimum capacity to be in the top flight

Nice that we're having this discussion, although clearly a way off yet. One thing that I've really noticed as this season has progressed is the number of youngsters coming to games, something that's been sadly lacking over the years. My two boys now have a bit of an entourage coming with them to games and they have friends at school who are going in separate gangs - many of whom were supposed Liverpool, Man City etc. Great to see and not something I've ever really known over my 35yrs following Notts.
