Exactly MA, and I recall no camaraderie from NFFC fans at the time of that.

Hence I found it amusing at the time - the biter bit et al

Or much camaraderie from them over the EFL and others trying to put us out of business, much enjoyed by most Forest fans.

Hmmm...I seem to recall a certain visiting poster on here taking great delight in tales of ‘Joinersgate’, suggesting there were drugs involved and relishing every moment of our owner/finance based misfortune.

For me the moral high ground they had over Anderlecht went out the window when they were creaming themselves when Marinakas took over.

I appreciate he has been found not guilty since but at the time and for a good while after he had match fixing charges hanging over him. Any club who have complained about an injustice for so long would want to know a new owner is totally innocent of the same offence before allowing him to take over surely?

Also same applies with the EFL passing him as a fit and proper person while it was ongoing, surely they should have told him to get his affairs in order before taking over.

I think the day Forest fans were happy to accept him with his potential history the right to complain was over.

Now i know its always innocent until proven guilty and all that, but i wonder how many Forest fans would leave their young children in Michael Jacksons care (if he was still alive)?

Or how many schools would set someone on who has been charged but not found guilty of a *** offence?

Just thinking out loud.... If Wigan do go bust, that would be good news for Stockport as L2 playoff final losers and, of course, Chesterfield, who lost the National League playoff final.

What would happen then is, what exactly? Are there playoffs for promotion from the Nat South and North and from lower Leagues. If not would the highest placed relegated sides escape? Would they playoff against the highest placed not promoted side from the League below....

    Haven't Wigan been taken over?

I guess they would follow the Bury model, but with less black pudding. But anyway I think they've been bought by one of the major shareholders of Wigan rugby league club - so it's academic

Reading been hit with a few more EFL charges which will probably mean points deductions. That's them and Wigan starting on minus figures. Favourites to go down, the pair of them?

By Mike Danson...part owner of Wigan Warriors and, a bit like ourselves and Oldham Athletic, he’s a local businessman putting his head above the parapet...only Danson is a real live billionaire so I think they’re out of danger. Sorry Gunt.

A real life billionaire slumming it in Wigan? So what's wrong with living in a mansion in the south of France? Perhaps this local businessman's fruit and veg market stall is thriving and he's loathe to give it up. Or maybe he's skint and just loves the publicity.
