    Let’s be honest, although we all love football, it is not the most principled sport in the world. Cheating is endemic, corruption at all levels, driven for success and money.

    In the reductio ad absurdum, what do we want - Burnley dining at the top table, doing whatever it takes to be there or Burnley as a principled, moral club, declining sponsorships, players never cheating and feeding off the scraps in the National League or worse?

    Pace should not have berated The old regime’s shirt sponsorship and then took the money from a betting company and gone and done exactly the same. Me being a totally unscrupulous person I would take the Saudi lucre - no problem 😉
