    Don't forget ITV News!

There are a multitude of techniques news channels use in order to shape your interpretation of the news, but to give some examples I see a lot across all the channels these days:

Deliberately choosing not to report certain events (or elements of events) that don't suit their narrative while grossly over-emphasising others

Showing you a picture of somebody talking, but with a voiceover telling you what they said and meant, rather than allowing/trusting you to hear it and decide for yourself

Interviewing their own correspondent, often after an interview with a politician or 'under-fire' celebrity, to ask them what the interviewee was actually saying, what they actually meant or didn't mean, and how much faith we can put in their words... as if the correspondent is somehow the definitive expert and arbiter of truth on the credibility of the interviewee or the subject in question

Claiming in some form of words to be "asking questions on behalf of the public", as if at some time we've collectively voted for or appointed said reporter/channel to do this job for us, when in fact they have no right whatsoever to assume such an all-encompassing mandate

Newsreaders increasingly becoming interpreters of the news or reports you've just heard and talking like they're your best mate saying "Yeah, we all agree about this don't we?". (A particularly blatant offender for this is Tom Bradby on ITV News at Ten, because he's purporting to be an impartial newsreader but is constantly cajoling you what to think about every item)

Sorry! I can’t remember the last time I watched ITV so that’s the reason I didn’t include them!! The rest of your post is so valid and agree totally…… and just to spoil my day of Wimbledon on a similar theme of people pushing agendas they’ve just introduced that **** Lineker to the crowd.

You don't need to using asterisks for 'money-grabbing hypocrite'!

As I have said before GB News tends to cover the news with debate from both sides of the political spectrum. If it leans to the right is that such a bad thing, as the other main news channels seem to lean the other way. It is important to maintain balance in news reporting.
Our media is so blatantly tilted to the left. Hence the irrational wokism we are suffering and sadly and more importantly our children and grandchildren will bare the brunt and the cost of.
It' s a refreshing alternative and actually reflects a lot of how I feel. I'm neither ashamed or afraid to say so.

This has likely flowed downstream of newspapers degenerating into nothing more than campaign rags over the last 20 years in a desperate bid to stay relevant in the 24/7 news cycle era. TV news now finds itself in the same position, with people finding other means to stay informed and up to date. Also, the world's media are now apparently owned, controlled and largely funded by a very small number of organisations with their own vested interests and those that aren't are mostly state funded propaganda.

He was kinda right though, when the temperature is high enough to evaporate sweat then we fail to be able to control our body temperature which is a fact. However you can't boil in your own sweat as you have no sweat to boil in so he just worded it all wrong and tried to link it to climate change which it isn't.

Agree totally BJPIE, I do fear for the kids, who will grow up not being able to cope with hard times in life having been indoctrinated by left wing teachers' ideals.

    Probably.

But what evidence can you provide to suggest that Jacob Rees-Mogg and Lee Anderson are anything other than obnoxious people?

No evidence required it is just a matter of opinion. You know those good old fashioned things that people were allowed to have, once upon a time. Wouldn't do if we all thought the same.
