Thread: Women’s World Cup 2023

Miss James scored a cracker in a narrow 1-0 win today over Denmark. China up next.

The locals don't seem too enamoured with the ladies game.

I thought we were lucky to win, why do teams sit back to defend a one goal lead in the last 15 minutes? We need a goalscorer, they should make Bronze a centre forward, at least she has a do and has a cracking shot.

Seeing some better matches now. Germany v Colombia was good, Japan v Spain is a belter.

I'd tip the Nipponese to win the tournament.

I just love their transitions BT! I am writing superlatives on rice paper and then eating them! I want to hear them singing “Farewell and Adieu to you Spanish ladies, Farewell and Adieu to you Ladies of Spain!”

I think we'll struggle against China tomorrow, qualification is not guaranteed.

I think Russo might find a chink in their armour. 2-0 England.

This is still only the Group stages. We need to guard against Peking too early.

Superb performance from Lauren James v China. Two goals, three assists. Should have had a hat-trick but for a harsh VAR decision.
