Good display v a poor Sheff Wed side, energy levels dropped as expected, but very happy with 3 points

I’m sorry, we may have won and are now 5th but it was not a good performance against a very poor side. There seemed little urgency and most of the time we played at a walking pace. Far too much passing around the back and using three passes when one would do. If we’d have played like this against a half decent side we would have lost. This may be a little negative but that’s my opinion on the game.

    Great result I think.

Usually a club we struggle against at home and after Saturday there was always the chance of a bit of a downer tonight.

    The only p I s s e r tonight is Blues finding form before Friday’s match.

This is a very tough division this year, harder than last year in my opinion.

Chalobah really looks like he can’t be bothered.

I fancy we might beat blues. Blues have had some poor results fairly recently. It should be a good game whatever happens. There are some tough matches this season.
Blues had lost three of their last five before tonight.

I understand your sentiment Leicesterbaggie but it now three games wothout concedeing a goal. I prefere 1-0 then 5-3 scorelines as I started out as a central defender and always enjoy a win without conceding a goal. Makes the points sweeter.
Playing poor sides can be as difficult as playing good sides....Only a few more points ans we might be clear of relegation but I would rather more to stay clear of adminastration......NOW THAT'S NEGATIVE....

Totally agree with your statement. that performance was for me shockingly poor. Once we scored we reverted to walking pace football, choosing to pass it backwards when forward passes were on and available. Its all very well that we won but there is also such thing as entertainment and that was just sh*te, going through the motions. I could understand it if we had been a couple of goals clear and with Friday in mind seeing the game out, but at 1-0 it only takes a moment switch off and we were very lucky in the first half that no-one got to the ball that flashed across our goalmouth about 3 ft away from the goal line. Relieved to have won but I do not fancy our home games if that is how we intend to play.

That was a really fine finish by Swift, a thing of beauty.
