    Notes.

Battle of the game so far - Williams against their left sided striker. Williams winning it so far.
Exeter have a player that can cross the ball - they look good at corners and set pieces.

Mael bringing the ball forward and showing one of the reasons he was signed.
Styles isn’t a number 10 and needs bringing off.
O’Keeffe having a poor game and needs subbing.
Not one piece of linked up play up front - we need Watters off and go 343.
Kane having his best game of the season and looking good - MOTM so far.
    2nd Half
Barnsley dominated - but Exeter defended well - and could have nicked something having hit the woodwork twice.
First time they hit the post it sort of kicked Barnsley into action.
Most of the 2nd half Barnsley were on the front foot piling forward.
Barnsley deserved their bit of luck and well deserved their win.

Most entertaining game of the season with the subs making the difference.
That last 45 secs it could have finished 1-1 or 1-2 incedible.
Special mention to the home commentary giving a well balanced view.
Kane the best player on the pitch, so I raise my glass Herbie lad, a touch of class.

As much as I'd like to be convinced by this run away from home I'm not , I really would like to be .

I take the point it's a results based business and we are third and other posters can easily point to that , fair enough .

But I just don't know , we are enjoying some luck on our travels , Exeter could have been ahead and then levelled in time added on but for the woodwork .

Credit to us for looking to win the game , positive subs from Collins and John Mac obliged with a well taken goal after some smart build up play .

Collins still doesn't know his best side because some of the players are so inconsistent , I thought he'd cracked it Tuesday night but today several of that unchanged starting line up were poor today including Styles and Russell .

Now I'm starting to wonder what his best side is and how we set up .

Absolutely no idea to be honest but I'm not letting these away wins cloud my judgement that I will say .

If I said we are in a false position I think I'd be comfortable with that .

I think it sez a lot about the lack of quality in this division mate. Any bugga guz on a run of results then tha suddenly in the mix. However, 5 away wins out of 6 and only 2 conceded on the road is not to be sneezed at. I think today was one of the hardest away games of the season. I predicted a loss today but we got the job done even though it came late. Fair play to the lads.

We haven’t got a best side.
We have a good solid squad.
So players are interchangeable - the best team changes from week to week.

As for the formation - it’s currently stuck on 352 - I think we should be a bit more flexible.
Today it would have been better changing during the 2nd half and going with 343 - bringing Styles off and putting Cosgrove on.
We needed to put Exeter under more pressure.

The French kid really impressed me today Pass I have to say , does the basics very well and can play it out and pick a pass .

Herbie was his usual 8 out 10 and it's just as well because you just don't know from one game to the next which Russell will turn up .

We really need Connell back asap which gives us another 8 out of 10 most games in that midfield .

Going to have to leave Styles out for me , you could argue I've got an agenda with him but to be honest he's just not producing enough in my opinion .

So now you've gone from the Barnsley style to interchangeable .

Your looking at the results aren't you YN ?

Last ten games of the season and I don't care about anything other than results but this early I'm looking for a settled team and formation with repetition in a Val , Duff kind of way .

Collins is simply shaking a dice and getting double six away from home , the law of averages is against it's continuation .

Clearly you haven’t a clue what I’m talking about, have you ???
