It was a game that we won that previous Crewe sides would have lost. Not every game can be a free flowing football fest. It was great to see a battling performance rewarded with 3 points and you could see how proud LB was at the end.
And Demetriou is a serious upgrade on Macdonald. We dodged a bullet when he wouldn't re-sign. Don't think Harrogate have a bigger budget than us overall. They were prepared to pay more for one player, but our total outlay on players like Powell, Demetriou, Tracey etc wouldn't have been cheap. When did we last sign other clubs best players?
