Jardi. Sorry but what the hell are you saying here. This has nothing to do with teachers and pupils. This is about a man in a job that he hasn’t been to successful atThat is precisely my point Beautiful South and that of many others, hence the reason for drip feeding the same suggestions for the last 4 months! A 'good' manager would have listened to every snippet of information sent his way and would have avoided many of the avoidable goals against and defeats that Queens have suffered. Quite clearly, they are more than capable of going on a run and claiming 3rd spot without much difficulty, but they must play to their strengths and stop trying to be Man City in defence. Good God, if Marvin has heard that once, he's heard it at least 1000 times.
Imagine what Marvin ' s report card must have said: "Marvin needs to listen to the advice of his teachers and stop making the same mistakes over and over again. He could achieve a lot at school, if only he stopped being stubborn. A very promising pupil, but must try harder "
It's not the players who are to blame, the punters who pay to come along every week can see they can play football, it's the tactics that they have been forced to follow that are at fault.
Saturday was like a breath of fresh air at last, with McIntyre tackling anything that moved and showing great movement as a wing back. Connelly's sublime flick to open up the Falkirk defence was amazing, and if the Match of the Day cameras had been there, they would have shown it over and over again.
Without a doubt, Beautiful South, we have the technical ability to play at a far higher level, we just need the manager to accept that his tactics in the first quarter were not suitable for the First Division.
Let's hope his report card at the end of the season reads: "Marvin has learned a lot and adapted well to the First Division after a poor start. He demonstrates the qualities required to be a great manager, but he cannot rest on his laurels. His future depends on listening to all the advice he can from every quarter, assimilating it and then acting on what he thinks is best for his club in the circumstances the club finds itself in."
