    .
JAQ has always presented herself as warm, fiesty, good sense of humour woman who would be good to evva neet rarnd tarn suppin pints with.

She may be a top lady in the fashion business but she only came to Barnsley FC to represent The Investor Group's interests, a group of New York Hedge Funds, particularly Jamakepe Investments, her husband Matthew Edmond's company, after the Group binned Conway as their representative.

With all respect to Julie Ann Quay she is, in my opinion, very good at PR but way out of her depth when it comes to football matters.

    Agree SB.

They're all out of their depth though in my opinion.

I noticed at the meeting on Monday that Parekh and JAQ were nonchalantly mentioning 'promotion' and 'when we're playing in the Championship next season' and with Collins obviously present, I couldn't help but feel for the guy. He's under great pressure to deliver promotion and this kind of talk is totally out of order, especially with a totally inept defence, who have been presented to Collins in the summer. We have no chance in my opinion unless alterations to the defence are made in January by bringing in some experience and quality.

The chairman and his sidekick are living in cloud cuckoo land if they think that this squad is up to the task. They're totally deluded in my opinion.

The worst thing is that they don't know they are out of their depth and that spells complete disaster .

Nobody but nobody who left the club last summer has been replaced by anybody even remotely their equal never mind better .

There's some absolutely shocking players that the club have recruited , can't even do the basics .

Collins is heading for Hecky and Stendel territory when they had their teams destroyed if he's not there already .

Yes they (Neerav, JAQ and Jean) are out of their depth with regards to their knowledge of football.
James clearly knows what he’s looking for with the stats - but other than that I believe there is an absence of knowledge.
They would be the first to admit this.
Then again - who is there out there that understands a business like Barnsley FC ???

That’s why I think it’s necessary to bring others onto the board as Patrick did when he brought Maurice Watkins in.
Things should become better when the new CEO and DoF are appointed.

But this doesn’t distract from the fact that we currently have a fantastic board of directors.
Yes there is a lack of knowledge - but Neerav and JAQ love the English football league and have been looking to get involved with a club.
Thankfully they were introduced to Barnsley.
These two bring with them big plans, a refreshing positive attitude and buckets full of enthusiasm.
We saw glimpses of this during the supporters meeting.

    I love a KFC , doesn't mean I could run the business .

What big plans are they bringing ?

    Evidence please .

They spout b@llax and gullible fans like yourself are taken in by it .

They talk , that's it , nothing ever comes to fruition .

The fans won't support this barrel of shyte for too much longer , I'll predict this season will be the one that breaks the camels back and ST's next season drop by 50% .

As I said - who out there is able to understand a business such as Barnsley FC ???

So as a Barnsley fan - you claim not to be able to run KFC - but as a long standing Barnsley fan are you able to run Barnsley FC.
    I know I wouldn’t be able to.
But these guys have moved in to shake things up.
And indications are from the supporters meeting that they will do it.

It’s ok wallowing in a vat of black negativity treacle - but I’ve heard nothing constructive about what Barnsley should be doing - and importantly who should be doing it.
Who do you have in mind ?

It was only a couple of months ago that there was a general denial that this new leadership even existed.

    I totally agree animal
There’s all the talk there but when you actually
Scrutinise the figures they’re banding about it’s misleading
Defenders like kitching replaced by kitchen fitters
Sadly imo we are not good enough for promotion this year, next year who knows? As we’ve seen over the recent years though, there’s sizeable changes happen every closed season

What bloody right do they have to expect Collins to achieve promotion when they've signed the players that they have? It's a total and utter joke isn't it. The sheer arrogance and nerve to publicly say it out loud in a fans forum right in front of the head coach is quite frankly preposterous.

Any person with a pair of eyes and an ounce of footballing knowledge can see as plain as day that some of the defensive players that we've signed aren't up to scratch. THEY'RE NOT FEKKIN GOOD ENOUGH AT THIS LEVEL

The stupid notion that they are good enough, and able to get promoted is total pie in the sky. Feckin dreamers.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's now abundantly clear that we have total amateurs running what is supposed to be a professional football club. What's more is that we as supporters are supposed to swallow this shyte and support it. No thanks for me, I'll always support the team but the board? Honestly, I'm totally dumbfounded by their lack of theoretical and practical knowledge of what's going off on the playing side.

If Mr Collins gets us into the Championship this season it would be a monumental achievement. If not, it looks like he'll be looking for employment elsewhere. Parekh and JAQ have clearly nailed their colours to the mast in terms of us getting promotion this season. As I've already said, unless we make major defensive improvements this January then forget promotion. Listen, we all know who the fall guy will be if the necessary improvements are not made when we fail come late April. I really do feel for Collins. Lets remember, he's new to football league management too.

Tha dint answer mi question on the other thread abart this. What did Maurice Watkins actually bring to the club bar keeping it ticking over?

More importantly, tha clearly missed mi point abart having an acting Chairman who gets instantly over ruled by the owner. Hence Patrick Cryne turning to the spreadsheet whilst Maurice Watkins was chairman. Do you not think that this kind of thing would happen with the current set up?

They already dropped a big clanger by appointing Paul Conway to be their spokesperson and administer the club for the first 4 years whilst they sat back and potentially enjoyed a big return on their business investment. When it all went tyts up under Conway and no profit was forthcoming,
they voted him out yet somehow they expect a different outcome by essentially doing the same as Conway did, which was to sell every saleable asset and replace them with untried and unknowns from even lower down the footballing pyramid. Crazy

So then the consensus on here (not my opinion BTW) is that all the players signed in the summer are cr@p lower league rubbish.
And that it’s nowt to do with Collins as he’s been dealt with a load of rubbish players.

So my question is this - which 1st team player from last season has improved this season under Collins ???
Or to put it another way - which 1st team player has not got worse this season ???
