Come on MN calm down pls. Good performance tonight against a good team. We are the youngest team in the PL and hopefully all of us will see the fruit that's coming. Amdouni is starting to look amazing, and not only him, pls give time before judging too harshly. Mistakes are being made, not just the players.
That's what makes me angry wmdave. We were doing well and I agree that Amdouni is a real talent though why he never gets a ball over the top I will never know. It's the pig headed insistence that playing out from the back is ALWAYS better than a long clearance which gives us a 50/50 chance of getting the ball, and a lot closer their goal , such an unessary loss that's for sure. As a whole the team is still short of speed though.

Farting about in your own third against a team known for its high press is suicide.

It is impossible to concede when the ball is in Row Z.

Berge is being blamed for being put into trouble. Bonkers!

Exactly Sub - imo anyway the players are doing - playing exactly as they’ve been told to or O Shea would have been pulled before now.

Our problem is we have players learning on the job and a manager the same in truth but we’ll be Ok 👍- I can see light at the end of the tunnel we are progressing slowly but surely - problem is we’re doing it in the best league against the best mangers and players who simply exploit any fragile weakness we have.

It's the toothless lack of firepower that's killing us. We should have gone three up top in the last 20 minutes and tried to force an equaliser, even ending up losing 2-0 was worth the risk IMHO.

I think Bt that others are saying that teams are waiting for that one mistaken-misplaced pass on their press , your row Z comment though true means we concede possession a lot and then at this level eventually the pressure tells and we concede anyway.

The game has evolved and changed so much any frailties are exploited in an instant - o Neil s after show comments were complimentary really but his tactic was that moment / moments where we’d kill ourselves playing out a misplaced pass and their press would catch us out.

    The plan worked.

O'Shea was not completely crap, and like many others in the team has improved. I reckon Ekdal and Beyer will be our pairing going forward.
For me the biggest problem is the lack of a goal scoring forward. Such a shame about Lyle and don't know what is wrong with Obafemi starting as others have mentioned.

I'm assuming it's fitness with Obafemi Dave, he's been out a long while and he doesn't seem to be the soundest of players. He's 23 now but has still only had 41 League starts. I'm not sure he's going to be the answer, looks to me like someone who might need wrapping in cotton wool.

O’Neil was just being nice , saying” we were tough to play against” and the others” struggled against us”. Who is he trying to kid, with comments like that. A decent side ,with a half decent defence and a goal scorer up front , would have put Wolves to the sword last night. O’ Neil knows it, We know it, but Kompany doesn’t know it. Will he ever ?

Not sure if your assumptions are correct Mal, a bit harsh. Of course VK and team still learning. Everyday a school day in all trades I think.

Don’t think it’s harsh, that’s the reality. I live in the real world. That’s what it looked like to me ,last night.
