I think the ban in England, might actually cause more deaths due to these dogs getting abandoned, I agree with the ban on breeding them , but enforcing a £90 fee and the need for liability insurance will IMO Lead to people dumping these dogs , unfortunately there will still be deaths in England due to attacks by this breed of dog

The ban is of course not foolproof but it's a start, any dogs dumped will hopefully be quickly round up and shot, I don't think we'll end up in packs of them running around wild. I think insurance should be compulsory for all dogs not just these ones, I think a lot more breeds than this one should be muzzled at all times in public. Leads I think are a waste of time because the owners can't hold these things back anyway.

Argument to be made for dog being extension of yourself.

Dog kills or seriously injuries it's treated as you that's did it.

Make some think twice about owning 11 stone of muscle with a bite force of god knows what.

I certainly don't think there will be packs of dogs roaming around , but I'd bet an abandoned and distressed bully xl will more dangerous

The heed bummer isn't putting that message across then.
She said "no timeline was in place for a Scottish government decision, but added further consultation was required before any legislation could be put forward" That translates to me as we'll do what we want when we ****ing want to.

Far too simple and far too sensible for either government though

I agree but that wouldn't be legally enforceable.

I can agree with that. Guns are a good comparison, no gun ever killed or injured anyone - it's the person pulling the trigger that does the killing.
