So have an attitude Like Robbie Savage, Eric Cantona, Zidane etc etc, (some great at times, some not, but would any be at LUFC?) and all will be well with Herr Farke, but knuckle down and work (as some recently departed players like Klich, Ayling etc, you are to be dispensed with or ignored? Not sure either applies to Cresswell (or other "youth" players), simply that either bench-sitting, or not even getting on the bench, when the club recruits, or is rumoured to be recruiting, "replacements" for your position, is hardly likely to engender a feeling of commitment and endeavour, especially when the loan period many have endured has shown them to be eminently suitable for 1st team football.

We will get f00k all for Charlie should he leave, as he has little 1st team at LUFC to recommend him, yet should he leave it's likely we will move for Mepham or some such, costing us more than we would ever gain, and we dispense with a player whos potential is obvious to some, Gary Rowett again "“He is going to be a top centre-half and a top player – certainly in the second half of the season we saw that oozing out,” and "“We knew he was a big talent. He found the challenges of the Championship straight away – in that it’s not always easy to play the game in a certain way. You have to be able to adjust and learn some of the little nuances of it."

Maybe we should replace Farke with Rowett, solve a problem that way?
Agree with a lot of that and have seen Cresswell play in the flesh and the lad can play and is composed but incredibly competitive. He wouldn’t have played in the England Squad that won a trophy last summer if he couldn’t play.

It is not only the message being sent to Cresswell but also to the other young players in the squad or those we want to sign. Cresswell is with large and sensible agency which the club would do well not to unnecessarily get off side.

I think it just shows naivety and a lack of man management on the part of Farke. He seems stubborn beyond belief in many ways not least with rotation and subs.

If a player has one bad game they seem to get banished unless they are called Cooper - Gruev wasn’t great in his first game so didn’t play for another two months but actually now looks decent. God knows what Hjelde must be thinking too.

Not saying Farke’s job is necessarily easy but he does seem prone to the odd own goal.

    On a more serious note.

Superior ability almost always breeds a pretty healthy ego. Even if he's an average defender, which he's better than that, sitting the bench on an important game behind an injured senior citizen with a piano on his back, while in a transfer window might cause anyone consternation.

No fear, we'll sell him for peanuts and pick up some soft wimpy spanish or german player and hemorrage goals like a sieve. Of course, we'll then blame it on the player we sold for peanuts or the keeper. Players such as Davis, Cresswell, Drameh and Alioski were never good enough to beat out Llorente or kock.

We are also two weeks into the window now and still no incomings (apart from Perkins coming back) two out and probably more out too if this stance continues.

Charlie made the mistake of questioning that. He was also never even given the chance to prove himself. I"m having a real hard time with this one.
The most successful long term organisations either have a great culture or a completely rubbish one - I would prefer we go down the former route.

Farke’s interviews are starting to grate with the nonsense he is begining to sometimes come out with.

On a lighter note - if you want a laugh, watch the Jesse Marsch interview with Simon Jordan - deluded does not begin to describe some of it.

With Cresswell seemingly out of Farkes plans, Cooper more than likely missing, no Ayling also, suddenly defence looks light on numbers, with both Byram & Firpo, kind of fit now, but regular faces down at the medical centre.
Ampadou can play at CB,but that changes the CM, what about Gruev, or whatever his name is, thought he could also play at CB.
