No it was leitch, witty the half a million died by Xmas eejit that held sway.....the itv ****ing doctor who said swim with a mask, the Plimlico plumber who said people shouldn't be allowed a job without a jab, Arnie ****ing terminator who said **** your human rights, Preston from itv who only asked why arnt you locking down earlier for 3 years, the chancellor who dreamed of having a society like china, our own leader who thought she was queen kinute and cud stop an invisible virus at invisible border, Hancock who seemed to get a hardon every time he spoke, the graphs that were doctored, the figures that were doctored, the basically forged death certificates which was an unbelievably serious crime until the scamdemic, the ridiculing of a composed and calm Swedish govt and the dancing NHS heroes, every time I hear the phrase frontline worker from some **** who clearly isn't frontline I want to puke, the same and normal folk pre COVID who turned into walking mouthpieces for the govt and remember people dying with COVID were generally over the average age of death in this country.

Today we have more excess deaths ( hardly a peep on the news ) an economy in the grubber, those responsible ****ing off with very tidy pensions and the overriding opinion that we shuda done more of it and for longer. 😭😭😭

We don't have a second chamber so there is no Scottish base equivalent to the Senate and Congress in the USA. We need the Establishment to tell politicians the truth, not cozy up to them.

What is your proposal to stop it happening again? You don't get anywhere simply stating a grievance imo. I agree with much of your comment but I don't think we will ever try to repeat the way we dealt with covid.
The whole issue is that the population needs to create immunity either naturally by surviving the plague or by creating vaccines. The politicians never understood the timescale for either. Second, third, fourth waves of variants didn't change the basic mortality rates. I think this was a major flaw in the approach. Transmission rates could be measured but I dont think the death rates were accurately recorded. As has often been said dying with covid was converted into a statistic that was interpreted as dying from covid.

Covid was the reason for holding the enquiry. I think the lack of WhatsApp messages does undermine the enquiry. We need records to show what decisions were taken but much more usefully the reasons why they were taken needs to be understood. The reasoning would have been capable of critical comment and lessons could be learned.
We risk learning nothing, and thereby look like repeating the nightmare scenario outlined by Rross.

Will just have to disagree on that. It's like saying because we won the 1914-18 war with trenches and mass slaughter, we went and did the same for The 1939-45 war. We didn't, technology changes and I think we will have different tactics and better weapons, vaccines, to tackle the next pandemic.

But I've heard there is some evidence of people, athletes in particular for some reason, developing heart problems that are attributed to the vaccines. Remember, they were entirely unproven over the long term, maybe the longer term effects are starting to kick in?
