2020/21 was just a weird season, better level but no crowds just made it a soulless season, I could barely get interested enough to watch games, depressing time the covid season, mellonball kept us up though with help from Benji and that was objective achieved
Sorry but this is revisionist nonsense.
    Apart from the Benji bit..

We turned a few strikers into world beaters last season just by having bereghetti in goal.

To be fair, the title doesn't say it has to be one of ours. And, we seemed to nearly improve any teams striker when putting (sic) against the POP

Shankland got his first Scotland cap while with us and his first full season of regular football in the Premier. Should have got several million for him.
Unfortunately we became so ultra defensive that it ruined him and he had to position himself into the midfield more often than not to get involved.

Sums it up really well. We improved his profile. If Hearts Hibs or Sevco had bid £1m that's where he would have gone. They didn't.

But where are the new Russell's Goodwillie's and Fergusons.
What's Stevie Campbell doing these days, would he ever forgive?

No disrespect intended but anyone who thinks we improved Shankland knows very little about football.I have no time whatsoever for Hearts but for the sake of the national side its a great relief he plays for them rather than us.Its a terrible thing i'm saying but its true.

The national coach is similar to Southgate in that he is too loyal with several players ie Dykes and Adams to me Shankland is the more natural striker of the 3 but its not even certain he will make the squad.
