Just in case, my first vote was spoilt at the ballot box, I vote get rid tonight!
This is catastrophic management, he should resign but if not then sacked tonight.
I've been Maynard in for longer than most but I think it's quite urgent that he goes now. It's pointless keeping him, sacking him is now the proactive move. It says the club has standards that are higher than the results and performances and we aren't going to drift as a club but set out a path of recovery.
The next man has an advantage as he's wanted, nobody wanted Williams to leave so Maynard started at a disadvantage. The next man gets none of the baggage of Williams success.
An odd aspect to this situation is that we are likely to lose this 'management team' without ever hearing, in an interview, from the new first team coaches over the past 10 weeks.
Wouldn't be surprised now if he loses the next 4, is still here, then we beat two sides who get relegated to the NL in the last two games to convince enough people to renew season tickets and be excited for the new season.
It's very much now looking like the next change of levels for Notts will be back down to tier 5.
Can anyone tell me if it's not mathematically possible for us to get relegated this season? I am really started to get worried.
Always amazed at the keenness of some people to start having a go at these particular owners. What kind of warped minds can turn so easily and quickly on some guys that literally saved the club from extinction and brought us back to the football league having had to basically rebuild the whole infrastructure and playing squad.
People moaning that it took them four seasons to get promoted in what has historically been the toughest NL ever, conveniently forgetting it took Wrexham and many others far longer to escape.
So, they’ve made a poor appointment in Stuart Maynard, I think they can be forgiven for that considering what they have already done for the club….cant they? The season is done, the owners have earned the right and respect to handle this situation as they see fit.
Some of the abuse they and the manager are getting is embarrassing.
Nobody is reallY having a go at the owners, we are simply asking the owners now to admit that they made a mistake and get a new manager in for next season, if they stick with Mayanrd next season and we struggle it is on them, what they did before does not excuse this poor judgement
I do not buy that the NL was the toughest ever , in most of the 4 seasons we have been down there .with Barrow and Sutton being top, then the 3rd Stockport who recently was in tier 6, even last year bar Wrexham there were no outstanding teams- the reason why we did not go up earlier is because they backed poor managers to average in Ardley for nearly 2 years, then Burchnall , even with LW so 1 out of 4 they got lucky
For some reason the owners want to pick managers and players that are up coming with limited experience, its success rate gives a poor return
