Got to take exception with you on the McNally front mon ami. Got very good reviews from the fans he played for whilst on loan. My man in the Potteries says the Potters want to buy him.

Bellamy & Jackson can make a start and get £30 million raked in for this lot.

Loanee list of players returning to Turf Moor.

    Goalkeeper: Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Defenders: Connor Roberts, Luke McNally, C.J. Egan Riley, Owen Dodgson.
Midfielders: Samuel Bastien, Darko Churlinov, Dara Costelloe, Scott Twine.
Forwards: Anass Zaroury, Mellon the younger, Wout Weghorst, Michael Obafemi.

Not knocking him mon ami, he's just one of a couple of dozen players who we need to be making decisions on, I'd just like Bellamy and Jacko to sort it so our new man has a clear run at it, instead of having 25 player files in his in-tray on his first day.

If the job wasn't going to Lampard then Mr Pace would move on to the next name on the list and get that tied up quickly, after all he's only going to be talking to people who have expressed an interest in the job, so there needn't be any undue delay and there would be no need of an interim appointment, that only makes sense if it's Lampard.
You could be right, but from I what remember from Mission to Burnley, Mr.Pace was talking to several at ones. And they seemed interested in one, but then he had a chat with VK and fell in love immediately. Maybe he has fallen in love ones again and just signed Lampard right away. Lampard was at Chelsea when they weren’t allowed to buy players, or am I wrong? If so he has the experience to go through a list much longer than ours to see who’s got what it takes.

Looking like Lampard is getting the gig mainly because his name is Lampard and like Kompany has global reach.I have nothing against Lampard but being a famous name is hardly the main requisite to manage a team hoping to immediately bounce straight back to the PL.
His record as a manager is similar to VK`s and his profile is similar. Why are we not going for a manager with a record of getting teams promoted?
Style over substance in my opinion. There is nothing in Lampards record to suggest he is better than the other names mentioned in the press. If appointed, I think it will end in tears.

Similar record and profile to the manager who romped this league 2 years ago? Plus he's already managed in this country, and this league, so I would suggest he's a better fit than kompany was when he was appointed.
I don't see anyone in the alleged front runners better than Lampard tbh.

I don't doubt Lampard has the experience to go through a list much longer than ours Will, but he won't have the time, the Euros don't finish until July 14th, decisions on the player situation need to be made long before then, July is too late just to be starting on it.

2019/20, Lampard's one full season as Chelsea manager. They finished 4th, could have been 3rd but United pipped them to it on GD, and got to the Final of the FA Cup at Wembley.

P38, W20, D6, L12, F69, A54, Pnts 66. (Incidentally Poch has just finished his one full season with Chelsea on 63 pnts, 3 less than Lampard.)

They drew at Liverpool, won 5-2 at Wolves, won 4-2 at Sean Dyche's Burnley, when we were apparently very difficult to score against and gave everyone a game, won 2-1 at Lille, 4-1 at Southampton, won 1-0 at Ajax, drew 2-2 at Valencia, won 2-0 at Spurs, 2-1 at Arsenal, beat Liverpool 2-0 in the FA Cup 5th Round, beat Everton 4-0 at home, beat City 2-1 at home, beat United 3-1 in the Cup SF at Wembley.

4th in the PL and Cup Finalists, you don't achieve that just on your name CiB, if any other applicant has a better season on their CV than that one, you can give them the job right now for me. As for ending in tears, it may well, very few Burnley manager's careers don't end in tears, it almost goes with the job.

That's what I'm assuming they've been kept on to do mon ami, they were our No2 and No3 last season, if they're not capable of sorting the wheat from the chaff just WTF are we paying them for ?
