New season same old biased refereeing.

The foul on Bruno on the halfway line was a yellow card. The whistle had gone.

Breratan Diaz foul was a straight red card. Both incidents the referee didn't do his job. Schar didn't move his head towards the cheat, every pundit even Gorilla Mitts at half time said 'Not a red card'.

    The conspiracy against NUFC continues.

What a way to ruin the first game of the season. Be prepared for more of the same thoughout the 37 remaining games lads.

The Fraudies have their hooks deep in the PGMOL and the EPL boardroom.

Good point mate. We ground out a win and got the 3 points.

Move on to the next one.

Straight red is a 3 game ban. I hope the club appeals.
Just as well we have depth at CB at the minute………..

It will be overturned on appeal or it's yet more evidence of bias. Not a single pundit, even those who hate us agree with the ref.

Whilst we didn’t play to our expected level today, the togetherness and determination of the squad was evident as it so often is.

We didn’t start well. Southampton were much the better team before Schär did what he too often does, and usually gets away with. He’s in his 30s and shouldn’t be so easily wound up. We regrouped well and rode our luck at times but ultimately the win is all that matters.

    Blimey. That was grim.

Great battling and team spirit from us but extremely poor in possession. Joelinton was immense but Schar has let everyone down.

That's not to say it wasn't a ridiculous decision not to either send both or neither off and that diving little shite should be embarrased but Schar shouldn't have put his head there.

We'll have to alter our training schedule next week because of the extra workload the players had to bear for an hour so his stupidity not only risked today's game but has implications going forward beyond his lack of availability for the next three games.

Thought Eddie spoke well-and honestly-after the game.

Southampton played well but got away with so much pulling back and holding.

    Ref was a cunt.

    Atmosphere was mixed.

Brilliant to be back, though with a decent chance of a fair few ganes this season.

Pawson per his usual ****e reffing for us let Saints get away with everything.

Solace is that I feel with our injuries last season we'd have ended up drawing this - now we've got recovery time ad people back we got the 3 points.

    Onwards and upwards.
